Was super excited to play this, and opted to NOT get it on PS5!

In the first cutscene of the game, I got a cool glitch with the on-screen hair. Harry got that spastic fade going on. No problem, let's look it up!

I pause the cutscene and tab out of the game to look for some sort of solution or workaround. No huge issue!

I find a couple of settings to look at. OKAY let's go!

I tab back in, and the audio of the cutscene resumes playing underneath of the pause menu, and unpausing the game speeds the visuals of the cutscene to catch up with the audio. I am able to replicate this without fail.

It's admittedly not the WORST issue in the world, but it still worries me about the quality of the rest of this port.
I think I'm good for now, guys!

For reference, I am running this on:
4070 Super.
Ryzen 7700x.
64gb Ram.

It felt like the A.I was autonomously doing things I didn't think I'd have to tell it not to do. (Traveling up or down to other floors while I send half the squad to clear a floor. Essentially I felt like I was needing to manage toddlers, which killed the fun for me.

Game has some performance stutters on machinery that goes above the minimum and recommended spec.

I believe this game is fine BUT needs more time in the oven.

Nightdive did a very wonderful job remastering this game! It feels nice to have some extra live pumped into the visuals and gameplay, as well as the game's framerate not tanking like it did on the n64 console way back when.

Unfortunately the Multiplayer is not included but I have hope that it is being sneakily worked on to be added sometime later.

All in all I had no problem handing NightDive my 30 dollars, just keep in mind that there is ONLY the Single Player story mode at the moment!

TLDR: Good Remaster. Single Player Only. Decide if that's worth it to you.

A pretty neat addition to the OneeChanbara franchise.
It's exactly as you expect: a stupid-fun hacky slashy blood mess featuring strong female characters in bikinis/etc.
The anime style is pretty well done and helps it stand apart from a certain raunchy-in-a-different-way anime game from the same devs. My greatest fear for this game was that Tamsoft might have sold-out and tried to make this game channel Senran Kagura. Luckily that is the total Opposite of what the case actually is. This game has its own personality and keeps true to the formula of the franchise while subjecting us to plot that seems to hold itself together and ACTUALLY makes sense!! The main story took me about 6 hours to clear, which seems longer than the usual in the OneeChanbara series :D
You then have the usual bonus missions and activity challenges that reward you with bgm's/items/artwork/etc. Everything is correct here.

Technical: minor gripes
(I'm running a 2080 super with a Ryzen 7 3700x, with a spicy 32gb of RAM)
Overall I had a pretty good experience for my initial run-through, though there were a couple of mild problems with this port.
The pc port seems to suffer similar issues to what Senran Kagura Burst Renewal's pc port suffered. The game could run in the highest quality with a super computer, and the frames still seem to jitter. (This really only seemed noticeable in cutscenes. I've never really had an issue with this in gameplay. The actual in-game choreography and action looked buttery as ever to me, though I acknowledge that not everybody else seems to be having the same luck).
The game did not crash for me until AFTER I've beaten the story and was fooling around in the main menu after having finished a bonus mission. Honestly, I have no idea how to gauge these crashes between how my game crashed and reading everybody else's reviews.

Overall/Takeaway: I had a really fun time re-acclimating myself to the pacing of these games while seeing what Tamsoft built for us this time! Now we need to see what they'll do for Kagura and Saaya! <3
If you are a fan of the previous games OR are looking for a weird-seemingly-sexual-game that actually takes itself seriously and makes barely any in-game mention to the clothing choices, Check this one out! (Just grab a community performance patch if one exists already!)

This demo was very spicy! I accidentally finished it in 22 minutes, and wish that I could have gone a little bit farther than where it was decided to cut the demo off. As for the gameplay, I was kept on the edge of my seat for a good portion of my 22 minute playthrough. I also love seeing the reimagined Leon reacting to all this "nope" going on during his first day on duty. All in all, this is the type of Resident Evil that I like playing, and am glad to see this formula come back!

Gameplay: If you like Monster Hunter then here you go. Monster Hunter on a grander scale.

As far as the PC port goes, the only major issue I had after my first ten hours of play was a crash due to a graphics error.
Otherwise it plays just fine.
I do not notice any impact by denuvo. I recommend disregarding that gripe if seen in other reviews. (If you want to pirate the game to some children in zimbabwe, go for it, matey. That's not my intention so I'm perfectly fine with denuvo being shipped with a game.)

Performance on hardware: I run a superclocked 1060 3gb card, as well as an i5 4460 quad core. The game defaults to "high". The only issue is the volumetric rendering which would have to be lowered or disabled on any system to get a spicy framerate. I get a semi normal fps between 50-60 it seems. Moral of the story is that you do not need a mammoth of a machine to have something that will not make you barf.
