Military Conflict: Vietnam may seem like another generic Source-engine based multiplayer fps with a Vietnam theme.

You're wrong.

It may present this theme for now, but this game isn't just bound to the vietnam theatre. It is bold in its ambitions with a singleplayer campaign, coop zombies mode, a Day of Defeat homage and an african bush wars expansion planned in the near future. Not to mention, the vietnam expansion continues to be updated with new maps, more weapons and factions as time marches on. It's versatile and offers something for everyone.

Even though the youtuber rush came and went, the game is far from being dead. It continues to be tested and updated every month, if not every week or so, by its dedicated developers and coders, with solid feedback from the playerbase. The guns sound and feel great, the gamemodes are time-tested classics, the bots put up a good fight and the gameplay is straight arcade fun whether on or offline. It may share the csgo engine, but the gameplay is far from being frustrating with different features such as a class system, poison gas/willy pete mechanic, off-map artillery/airstrike call-ins and consumable medkits and ammo packs being a crucial part of certain player classes and the gameplay.

However, it suffers from a lack of advertising, a small yet dedicated playerbase and the problems that come with being in the early access stage. Of course, there are bugs from time to time, but nothing that breaks the game.

I believe that it can succeed. Otherwise I wouldn't have wasted my money on it.

Reliving the classic that was Half-Life on a Remastered High Definition engine was worth all the years of labour and love put into it. After the final Xen update, Black Mesa is finally complete and so is our whole experience.

The best next-gen Vietnam War first person shooter. There is no competition. A classic that must be in your library. You can play as almost all parties in the war from the Vietcong and the NVA to the ARVN with the US Army and ANZAC in between.
Various gameplay modes, from Territories to Skirmish, from 18-64 players, there is a wide variety for everyone.

Tannenberg gives an insightful glimpse into the Eastern European front of WW1, which very little is known about. Whether you fight as an Austro-Hungarian soldier or as an irregular Russian Cossack, there is something for everybody. The battlefields are varied and beautiful and the various weather modes add a lot of variety to each game. Overall, it´s a great expansion to it´s sister game "Verdun" and a good game on it´s own.

A great military/political simulator that teaches you on how to squash rebellions and build a region from the ground-up. Every wannabe dictator´s best tool. XD
I believe this game could use some more content in the future though.
I´d wish for:
-helicopters
-patrol boats and coastal scenarios
-playing as insurgents
-expanding the section of foreign relations/meddling in your affairs, adding rival alliances and/or nations perhaps (real life inspired or not)

After 11 years, I still recommend this game. The sequel that bested the original, Left 4 Dead 2 is a game to spend many hours on. The gameplay has been upgraded with the addition of new weapons including melee, consumable items and more guns to shoot zombies with. We also get new enemies that add some more variety to the classic gameplay of the original Left 4 Dead and new gameplay modes such as Scavange and Realism.

If you still haven't gotten this classic, GET IT NOW!
