The first two floors are a filter. Once you pass them the game shoots to top 5 rougelikes easily, and with every update it gets better and better. Fun art style with memorable characters and really nuts item combos. Only problems are once again runs being a slow start and a couple bosses being not very fun at all (the hand boss is the worst.)

This game is like a gigantic, leaking, topping stuffed street vendor burger. Amazing throughout but I really wish it was a biiiiit shorter and now I need to go ♥♥♥♥ for 5 hours.

To elaborate the game is fun. The art/visual style is very appealing (I LOVE the little emotions on the hud!) , the music is bouncy and fun, the systems/movement is polished to a razor's edge and any kind of movement feels wonderful BUT after world 5 (peak of the game to me) the level themes and layouts start getting stretched REALLY thin and worlds 9-11 have the ugliest level design (visually and feel-wise) the game has to offer. Granted the game's worst level is equivalent to the best level in SA2 so it's not the end of the world but enough to dock points. Finally, the bonus levels being super short was massively disappointing. Was hoping for more of a Star Road deal but ended up with padding. Despite these things (and cutscenes that while cute dragged on forever) its probably the best 3D platformer to come out this year.

IMO one of the best fighting games ever made. Amazing art deco/showgirls aesthetic, crazy good and earworm-y ost by some of the most talented names in videogame osts like Michiru Yamane and raito, amazing art style and character designs, one of the most inuitive fighting game tutorials up there with the later Virtua Fighter games, and gameplay that is an amazing homage to the tag hyper fighters of old, combined with new age modernizations that keep it fresh and engaging to play nearly 10 years later. With new DLC coming out resurging the community there's never been a better time to jump in. The only cons that I can think of are that the aesthetics can be off putting to some (The Canopy Kingdom, while not depicted in a good light, have heavy symbolic and visual similarities to Nazi Germany. There's also a good deal of body horror, some light gore and sexualized character designs that would I argue are in a believable and therefore perfectly fine way that make the game's visual style not for everyone.) and that currently the lobby system is servicable, but could still be better. One of the genre's finest and a shining example of what indie games can achieve.

Definitely one of the best fighting games currently. Although quick match/ranked are dead, lobbies are still plentiful on most days, and the community discord is full of newer players and people willing to help. On top of that, there's a varied roster of characters that all feel extremely distinct, and a kick ass rock aesthetic that wears it's inspiration on it's sleeve. It may be overwhelming at first, but it's honestly not as hard as people make it out to be. Definitely pick this one up if you're looking for a start or just looking for a more frantic, expressive option in fighting games.

One of Capcom's best fighters. Ridiculously fun (even if you're a lab monster like me) and a memorable cast of characters from both sides. Netcode is a bit cra[ (Remote Play/Parsec are fine alternatives though) and it's not the easiest fighting game if you're new or come from more reserved games like Street Fighter but it's well worth the investment.

Lethal Leauge Blaze is pretty much everything I wanted/expected for a sequel to the original Lethal Leauge, With all-new fun as hell character additions (time for another character crisis), a killer soundtrack (bless Naganuma) and enough single-player content that lets you hone your skills. Only complaints being that the ranking system is kinda wonky (As of this review I'm rank 1142, and the last few matches I was matched with people from 800-190, and loss/win amounts were the same regardless of rank, which is odd) and Latch's special still being hot ass. Other than that I wholeheartedly reccomend this to veterans and newcomers alike!

Early Access Review
I'm gonna give it to you straight. This game, in it's current state, is just bad. From the creators of PM, you think they'd have a understanding of a game they've worked on since 2008 (TEN ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ YEARS) and, knowing this, you think that Icons would be able to not only match the gameplay of PM, but improve upon it and create a sort of identity upon itself, where it could be classed highly among the roughly six or so "smash-likes" that are available on PC. Well, guess what? It really doesn't. The game is one of the clunkiest, blandiest, unoriginal smashlikes I've ever had the displeasure of playing. Controls feel pretty much weightless, anmations look rigid and horribly unpolished, the stages are uglier than a 4 year coke addict, and character designs are forgettable, and either painfully obvious as to what function they're supposed to be (Kidd = Fox/Falco, Ashani = C. Falcon with Street Fighter's C. Viper?? etc.) or so uninspired that I sware I've seen them somewhere else before (Weishan, Xana, etc.) Not to mention the netcode is literal hot garbage, matches fast forwarding due to the match slowing down earlier are among many cases of lag. You'd get a better use of your time by just getting a Melee iso online, or hell, buy one of the other smashlikes on Steam like Slap City or Rivals Of Aether, because lord knows those people put a hell of a lot more effort into their game than these guys ever did. There are so many ways to use your time. Don't waste it with this heaping trash pile.

Go get the Remix mod for this ASAP. Improves this game DRASTICALLY.

Not that the base game is awful, on it's own it's a solid fighter with some awesome characters and mechanics, but Remix just takes all of it and makes it INSANE.
