I played the heck out of this game. Very rare for me to approach 100 hours playtime on any game, so this one really caught my attention. I would say it's actually better than Part I, which is a feat. How many sequels are actually better gameplay and story wise than their predecessor? And of course it's better looking, the visuals are top notch. Small details like rain dripping off your character really immerse you in the world. The story is chaotic and stressful. You're left with moral questions and a healthy dose of doubt regarding the actions of the characters you play. The No Return mode is also quite fun, for a procedural type game mode, I was pleasantly surprised.

Early Access Review
I've been waiting for this game for over a decade. It starts pretty decent, but soon ends up being a procedural slog. The controls are kind of clunky (think ARMA, but everything is close quarters) and the AI is frustrating. Trying to get revived by a fellow soldier is a chore, and they will often run into the line of fire to try to save you, when I would rather they stay in cover and I move to them. I tried playing it a few times, but was unable to really get into it. I realize it is early access, but I've had the game for about 6 months and seen very little in the way of progress.

A very challenging and fun game. Despite the recent controversy, nothing has really changed in terms of gameplay. I've been playing Ready or Not for over 3 years and it's been getting slowly, but surely better in most aspects. The one thing they removed that I miss was enemies getting wounded and getting back up to re-engage in the fight after a period of time. I quite miss this, as it is rare to see in a game, and adds a level of depth. When you downed an enemy before, you actually had a reason (besides getting points) to restrain them. Now it's just like every other shooter in this regard. I also would like an option to carry wounded squad mates out of the battlefield to safety in order to save their life. A small feature, but it would add an extra challenge to the game. Overall, the gunplay is super tight and satisfying, there is a great selection of weapons, and I recommend this game highly.

I'm biased since this game was my childhood and the nostalgia runs strong, but here it goes. This is my third time purchasing Quake 4, I've spent hundreds of hours playing it on other platforms. I spent dozens of hours modding it and creating custom levels and skins. I certainly got my money's worth every time I bought it. Gameplay is tight and feels satisfying, even compared to newer games. The enemies have a nice and natural progression from grunts to the heavy bosses that come in later. There is a variety of guns from the blaster all the way to a dark matter gun (I wish it was the BFG though). Definitely a great addition to the Quake franchise and a must play if you haven't done so by now.

Really solid and fun game. Reminds me of Sim City 4, but modernized in a good way.

I'll preface by saying I only play Call of Duty for the campaign now, the multiplayer has become too ridiculous for me. The singleplayer is unfortunately half-baked. One dimensional enemies, a very confusing diverse squad that are hard to relate to or enjoy playing as, and tired cliche encounters, like the boss character with 20X hp for some reason which is not clearly explained. I wasn't able to bring myself to finish it, steer clear.

Been a while since I played a game for this many hours. Overall I was really impressed by the quality of the world, story, and gameplay. It has a bit of jankiness here and there, but I think waiting 2 years post release to buy and play it was a great call as I only experienced one crash and one time getting stuck in the environment, having to reload from my last save. My biggest overall complaint is how unimportant your in game decisions feel. Often, you pick a dialogue opportunity that is radically different than one you chose previously, but the outcome is the same. Same with the macro game outcomes, You're pretty much guaranteed to get the same ending, regardless of choices you make during the game. However, at the end of the day, this may just be the route the developers wanted to take it, as the "woe is V" storyline will always be present in the endgame.

Anyhow, if you haven't yet, grab this game and plunge into the wild world of Night City!

One of my favorite games of all time, I spent about 800 hours playing this on the DVD version many years ago. Glad to get back into it now, after the disappointment that was Starfield. Fallout 3 is janky, buggy, and a bit ugly by modern standards, but allows a level of freedom and options not found in many games. I created a mod, Fallout 3 Reborn for it that tailored my experience to exactly what I want. You can do the same, or download thousands of great mods to customize your experience to suit you. It's truly a fantastic game and worth buying multiple times. This is my third purchase of FO3.

I wanted to like it, I spent $150 on the early access version. Played 800+ hours of Fallout 3, can't make it through 4 of this game.

This was the game that got me into gaming. Amazingly solid and so much fun even after 20 years. The newest release they dropped is just the cherry on the perfect sundae that Quake 2 is.
