It is one of the highest selling games of all time for good reason. The simplicity with complexity, the difficulty, the flexibility, the developers -- it all comes together in one of the best packages ever to exist.

For anyone who thinks this is a Minecraft close, it is absolutely not. For one, its official release was 6 months earlier than Minecraft's! Minecraft is also a great game, but to Microsoft, Minecraft is just an IP to make money off of. Terraria is a game BY gamers, FOR gamers and it SHOWS.

Old head, here. My first Civ game was...Civilization. And I have sunken THOUSANDS of hours across all 6 previous games in the franchise. I was nervous about Civ 7 from the moment it was announced. Why? Because Civ 6 seemed damn near perfect. I couldn't imagine how they could re-imagine the series in a way that would top Civ 6. I was right to be concerned.

I *am* having fun playing Civ 7. I realize that I still have a lot to learn, but something just feels...off. I'm not sure if I can explain it. I'm guessing it's really just a combination of the complaints that others have outlined in their reviews. I have many of the same complaints.

Cutting down to only three ages is probably my least favorite aspect. That just feels disjointed.

I admit that I like the scramble to discover distant lands in the exploration age. It's actually kind of exciting. I found myself looking forward to that.

While I did kind of hate how loyalty constrained where you place your cities, not having it at all doesn't feel right. We're back to where the AI can mess up your 'manifest destiny' by building one city in the middle of your 'nation' as it were.

I like the narrative component, and I like how choices can influence what civs are available.

The game has a lot of potential, so I'm not ready to give up on it yet, but I feel like they're gonna need to make a lot of changes to make this a worthy entry in the series. I can't recommend it yet.

More engaging and challenging that I thought it would be. Pleasantly surprised! If you've played sims and you like them, this is a great one!

This is massively fun. The best thing about it (I think) is the potential for future sequels. There's so much they can do with this concept!

Another fantastic entry. Conceptually perfect, masterfully executed, and the sound design may be the best I've ever heard.

Great game with some old school difficulty. Certain levels will drive you absolutely insane, but if you can beat any of them, you can beat all of them!
