Consistently worse with every update, would struggle to maintain 30fps on the computer that I bought it on after updates despite running acceptably for around a year; for reference I had a 6th gen i7 and an RX 6600XT(recommended GPU on the Steam page), I have upgraded my hardware since then, but I'm not willing to overlook this. Anti-cheat doesn't work and while I had no technical issues with it there are credible reports of it damaging hardware. Gameplay was solid, but accuracy nerfs and horribly designed enemies, looking at you fleshmobs and dragonroaches, to cater to some moronic "stormtrooper fantasy" that was never the initial appeal of the game completely blew it. Not worth your money, time or disk space, but definitely could be salvaged into something good.

Good mix of realistic and arcade hunting experience, excellent multiplayer and great graphics/visual design.
The significant amount of DLC shouldn't scare you off, you can try out reserves in multiplayer as long as you'd like and the base game weapons cover all the bases.

All time favorite, excellent art direction that'll always hold up, playing with random props is still fun and the sound/map design really ties it together. I wish the revolver was more like the one from HL1 with a bigger ammo reserve and a more polished look, but that's about it for grievances. It's got a developer commentary mode and workshop support now, so check that out.

Can't say much about this game or this series that wasn't already said before, but there's an option for some pretty good dynamic combat music in the settings menu that's off by default.

Far from the janky retro homage it may look like at first glance; the weapons and movement feel amazing, the map design fits the gameplay perfectly and the visual style of the dreamlike world maintains a strange consistency.
The implants are very well thought out and can completely change your play style.
Easily worth $20 and receives updates frequently unlike most early access titles.
It's not a throwback; it's a bizarrely beautiful gaze into what the future of games should've been and, with the release of Cruelty Squad, could still be.

I struggle to think of something I dislike about this game other than some issues on modern PCs that are usually fixed with fan-patches, would love to see it on an optimized engine but that's probably never going to happen.
You can kill people with second-hand smoke inhalation 10/10
