played this a lot on itch.io before steam release--really cool. it's almost like you're descending into lost izalith from darksouls.

i'm only writing all this as the demo was really promising and i had high hopes for this game given that the art style and mechanics are great; but the writing/plot completely blows and eventually the episodes devolve completely into just doing random ♥♥♥♥ with your friends until the credits roll after some more random ♥♥♥♥ happens (???) like i don't care about sacrificing some mf named frank who we met 3 minutes ago, or completely unexplained demonic ♥♥♥♥ going on, or even the collector some of the puzzles were fun and the general theme of the game is enough to call it somewhat enjoyable, but the writing/plot doesn't even make sense on a level that is borderline insulting to have paid money for this in a way that makes me wonder if this entire game was made by AI. it's good in a friend slop way, but given that this is obviously loosely based off an established SCP, it's kind of ridiculous to have this level of incompetence as to what the game is trying to be--and that's really it, there's something actually special about what they made here and it falls completely flat for no good reason.

stress simulator 2026: enhanced edition

played this with my wife and we really enjoyed the puzzles, atmosphere, and gameplay. the story kept us on our toes and the ending was really cool

really good, very excited for the full release (especially after little nightmares 3, what tf)

i don't really know what to rate this game; and as a long-time fan of the series, i suppose that makes this a negative review.

although i did enjoy playing through the game as a co-op horror experience, almost everything that makes this a little nightmares title paled in comparison to the earlier games. the enemies, world, and narrative seemed to almost completely miss the mark of what tarsier studios had already established the foundation of--and to be honest, i felt slightly cheated when the credits rolled after being excited and patiently awaiting this release.

not sure how suppermassive games whacked this out so hard, but all i can say is i'm excited for reanimal from the OGs.
