In some ways this feels like a very cheap release that, like lots of games on Steam, didn't take much effort on the developers part. On the other hand, its giving me great vibes and is a good reminder of being a kid in the 80s and 90s renting games and movies from Blockbuster and local rental stores.

I'd love more freedom in the customization and I'd also love Steam marketplace support. I hope someone is able to mod the game to support real films and real VHS cover art.

I don't know if I will play long enough to open up the whole space but I will definitely put some quality time in this.

I am clearly in the minority here but I didn't find the game to be good enough to keep me trial and erroring my way through the "exploration". "Man cannot live by vibes alone."

Very cool game. I had some issues with combat in certain spots but that was my problem not the games. I will definitely look to purchase this ASAP when its released. Oddly, they are doing a Kickstarter for the game. Not sure I'll back it on KS (my experience w/backing video games on KS is rocky) but I hope this game gets made and released. The developer has something very cool and unique here.

I was HIGH on this game, really high. I get that people who were more into the first game weren't excited about B2 becoming a straight up Metroidvania but I really enjoyed this game...until I got soft locked. You see, any boss in the game that requires you to sit through a cutscene and receive an item has a rather high chance of softlocking you out of progressing if you die at the wrong time! There's no way to correct this (unless you are a weirdo who backups your saves frequently). I thought I had hit a weird, random bug but plenty of people have gotten this over the last year+ and the developers seem to have no interest, or ability, in fixing it.

My "do not recommend" is solely because of bugs like this. Other than those its a great game.

I bought this game because Skillup recommended it when it first released. Several hours after purchase I was left wondering when I would get access to the game SU played because I sure never got to it.

Not to mention the developer didn't finish the game, yanked the rug out from the multiplayer, and doesn't even allow local co-op. Don't buy this game at full price. Don't buy this game on discount.

My recommendation on this game ultimately hinges on if the developer continues updating it but I'm not sure if they will. The game feels like early access in many spots but it is not.

The core game play is very fun and I like the humor. the art style also has some real charm to it. The game is difficult but not in the "get good" way, more in the "wait, they shouldn't be able to do that" way. Hit boxes are really wonky at times and the physics engine can really work against you in ways that feel like this is early access.

My friends and I had fun but the difficulty curve is non-existent so go into this game knowing you might get super frustrated at times.

This is basically Call of Duty Zombies for someone who doesn't want to pay for a COD game to get it...or have a well polished experience...or have fun and unique weapons...or have cool looking enemies...or have enemies that potentially don't get caught on a wall for 10 minutes until you find them...or have melee combat that has any weight to it...or has shooting that feels satisfying.

My experience might be in a minority but I came out of the game thinking it was "fine". With the game only being around $10-15 its hard to really go too hard against it but I wasn't impressed with the handful of games I played. I hope the developer is able to keep cracking at it but it seems like there are plenty who do like it.

I don't think it sucks but I don't feel like I can recommend it how it is right now.

Team Fortress 2 and I have lots of good memories, well before any of the time tracking showed up. Vanilla TF2 was one of my favorite mp shooters of all time. My love eroded over the updates until finally the game became more of a "remember when" than a "this is great"...still fun but not what it was. Over time Valve turned the game into crate machine, just like Counter-Strike...only they actually cared about keeps cheaters and bots out of Counter-Strike.

Until Valve actually cares about your time and keeping their products free from bots and cheaters they won't fix games like TF2. Until they do, please stay away from this.

I have a strong love for the Halo games, specifically Halo: Combat Evolved through Reach...the Bungie years, specifically. One of the rare times a real community was thriving around a game AND encouraged by the publisher and developers. Much of that is lost in the modern era of gaming...especially with Halo but the Master Chief Collection is a decent way to relive one of the best co-op FPS series ever made with some decent multiplayer implementation. I really dislike the challenges/unlocks because its that modern BS creeping into Halo but that's been an issue since Halo 4.

Halo 4 isn't Bungie Halo...its not awful...its just not amazing either. Still, not a terrible add to the product. Highly recommended, especially if you have 1-3 other pals to play with.
