This game is a lot of fun and improves many elements of the previous game. I will say I have mixed feelings about the new art style but it is growing on me. Overall the game is super fun to play and I definitely recommend this game. Maybe wait to purchase it during a sale so you can save on the DLC

This game is great but it has not aged well... It runs mostly fine on my PC(I have an Intel I7-8700k and a 1070 ti with 16gb of ram) but I have to run it at 30 fps on Vsync or else the game breaks... I definitely recommend playing the original Dead Space first before playing the new remake. Overall this is a fantastic game with a few major game breaking technical limitations(however the game is completely playable 100% of the way through if you use the right settings)

Edit: They finally added online play back... Make sure to buy the game when its on sale

They removed online mode and probably will never bring it back. All they have to do is fix an exploit but they don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the PC port.

This game is a breath of fresh air in the modern AAA gaming industry... This game is great! It definitely lived up to the hype. The game is a shining example of what AAA releases should be like. You pay 60 dollars and you get a super polished game with no micro transactions or devious time sinking game loops. Just a simple hack and slash thriller with a great world, story, combat, and graphics. I would even buy a DLC if they eventually release one.

The game is great gameplay wise but the leveling takes forever and there are no good looking free cosmetics

This game is great but I really only play it for the Game of Thrones mod.

This game hasn't improved one bit since its first beta back in 2020... Oh well actually they added micro transactions :/
Pro's:
- No monthly subscription like almost all other mmo's
- Very active and popular player base
- Servers are solid(as it should be its hosted by Amazon AWS)
Cons:
- The community is very toxic and general chat is full of spam and trolling
- Virtually every mob is the same for the entire game. Even the bosses are all the same and some bosses share basic ai with regular mobs
- There has been no improvement to the game since the first beta back in 2020.
- The game has a large cosmetic shop despite not being a free to play game... This really ruins it for me, I mean I paid 40 dollars for this game and now the coolest cosmetics are locked behind a paywall? Unacceptable for a 40 dollar game
- The graphics are meh but I expected much better from a literal 1 trillion dollar company.
In conclusion the game is completely overrated and I don't see it being popular for more than a year

I don’t think this game is as good as RE 7 but that doesn’t mean it isn’t really good. The world is much bigger in this game and the story is just as long or maybe even longer. However the AI at times can be seen as a bit unpolished and the characters, although strong, I don’t personally find as strong as the previous game. Also, if you don’t like vampire and wear wolf tropes then you probably won’t like this game as much. Overall a really solid sequel!

Over 500 hours played and I still can't beat the AI on normal difficulty in iron man mode...

Don't get me wrong the game is not bad BUT it's completely over-rated...
First off the positives:
1.) The game world is huge and puts Skyrim to shame with the depth and size of the cities
2.) The graphics are decent for 2015 but nothing groundbreaking like some would have you believe
3.) By far the most explicit sex scenes of any mature game on the market
4.) Super long story line, takes some people over 100 hours to finish(only took me around 43 hours to finish the main story but I fast traveled a lot)
And now the negatives:
1.) Your horse is invulnerable and and can't fall over no matter how hard you try. Not a game breaker but it really detracts from the immersion, like for instance when I jumped off a cliff and neither the horse or the main character took any damage.
2.) NPC dialogue is downright disappointing... 90% of NPC's have only one or two dialogue options and will just alternate the two lines no matter how many times you click on them. It really takes away from the immersion and I expected much better from a game with 450,000 positive reviews. Compared to Skyrim the dialogue in this game is downright shameful and they clearly cut corners on all non important NPC's.
3.) All NPC's that arent main characters have generic names like "bandit" or "fisherman". Again I expected at least some of the non essential npc's to have unique names, even if they were generic.
4.) The story is repetitive and linear and almost all quests boil down to 1.) you need information about where Ciri is 2.) The NPC says they'll tell you if you do something for them 3.) Even though the main character is a superhuman mutant demon slayer and could easily mind control or beat the crap out of 90% of the NPC's you don't have either options and instead are forced to do a favor(s) for the NPC and then they give you a sliver of information that just barely gives you enough of a lead to continue searching for Ciri. This goes on for 90% of the game with well placed sex scenes here and there to keep the player engaged.
5.) Only partial nudity
6.) Although there are two massive cities you can only explore the kings castle in the capital of the empire. I was thoroughly disappointed when I tried to open the door to explore what should have been the largest city in the game only to find it's sole use was as a fast travel sign and I couldn't actually explore the rest of the city because they cut corners and never finished it.
