LET ME SKIP CUTSCENES IN WINTERMUTE. I tried Esc. I tried Space. I tried every key on the keyboard, every button on the controller. Only one solution worked: Alt-F4. If you're going to write overly long mediocre dialog, YOU MUST MAKE IT SKIPPABLE, YES, EVEN (AND ESPECIALLY) ON THE FIRST PLAY.

Requires two game restarts and creation of an Activision online account to even start the single player campaign, then ten minutes later crashed during a cutscene. Guess I'll wait a week and try again! (Win 11, RTX 3090)

Ok, waited a week, was able to finish the campaign. Kind of meh. I guess people should only by this if they want the multiplayer stuff.

Someone on twitter said it was basically a new silent hill game but.. no, no it is not. This is a quite polished narrative heavy game that eschews choice and action for, well, lots of slow walking and convoluted story drops. Not scary or creepy enough to keep me interested. Finished it because I dropped $50 for it. Not bad by any means just, uh, not my cup of tea. Had weird video glitches at first, switching my second monitor down to 60fps fixed it. Had problems enabling HDR so had to go without.

A great compilation of Hamumu's Robot Wants platformers (with some new stuff too) connected with a neat challenge/unlock system. I like how it's broken up into bite-size levels, makes it a good one for jumping in whenever.

Hamumu is an incredible game designer, this package is a fantastic value and everyone should buy it! (disclaimer, I'm his friend, but it's still true)

Early Access Review
Kubrick meets rubber chicken? It's hard to explain what a Sos game is - it's just something you have to experience.

Suggestions: More audio variety for the things, make it easier to spawn lots of things in sandbox mode

$20 may be a bit overpriced for three tables that aren't able to license the original music or voice clips from the movies, but all in all they play pretty well. I especially like Jaws.

With one exception, which is why I'm giving the thumbs down: The audio mix on the Back To Future Table is so bad it's unplayable with the volume up. The car sounds are 300% too loud, unsure how anybody with working ear drums could let this out the door like that. (Using a Vive Pro) I own every table and the rest are fine so <shrug>.

Please fix.

1/18/2024 Edit: They did indeed fix the BTTF sound effect issue! I played it with an Index and it sounded fine. Unfortunately, there are two new issues:

* Index controller not properly supported. You can still play once you figure it out, but it's weird, like down on the joystick is button B, etc.

* There seems to be performance issues in the way of jitter, like it's forcing 75 fps on a 90 fps or something weird like that.

So thumbs up unless you have an Index I guess?

Most used game on my Vive and a great one to use to show friends - it's simple to understand and once you get enough balls going it's an insanely good work out. (If you're tired, you can use the longer paddle size, less energy needed)

GET IT!

EDIT: Seems like the new version fixes the crash on exit and other complaints, so I removed that part of my review
