It has not just Garrus, but Garrus, and Garrus again.

Do it for Garrus.

If you purchase this game, you are now legally obligated to dedicate at least 400 hours and counting of your life to Olivier the Trails series.

I really, really love OMORI, but man is it hard to recommend it to friends.

To elaborate: This is the horror I love the most. Or reasons why stuff like Ib, Crooked Man, The Witch's House, and countless other RPGMaker horror games are some of my favorite. There's this sense of wonder and mystery, combined with characters that you feel real to the extent to where you actually care if something horrible happens to them. Sometimes all you really need is a good cast, a great story, and something lurking behind them.

So why is it hard to recommend it? I went into the game blind when it came out not knowing a single thing about it. The game easily became the best experience out of 2020 for me. Yet, it was also somehow one of the worsts. The isolation from COVID-19 was getting to me and by the end of the game, I couldn't get it off my mind. There were certain endgame scenes that stuck with me, and I remember that sinking feeling in my chest that came at the drop of a hat. I thought long about those scenes and if they were needed before ultimately deciding, "Yes."

In the end:

It is something to be experienced, but only your in peak state of mind.

If you're not feeling your best, I highly encourage flexing until you feel otherwise.

I got nothing left to say. I think I'm done now.

Oyasumi.

A guide to making 100% orange juice.

1. First off you start off pouring 50% rage mix into an empty glass. No doubt that this will be the most important ingredient; however, this is my personal preference. Feel free to add more or less to it.

2. Next, we have pour 15% moe sauce into the glass. Don't judge me.

3. 5% pudding. Optional unless you're serving it to a dog girl.

4. 20% stars. The exact amount of stars might very, but if you want to come out on top, you're going to need at least 200.

5. 5% tears. It shouldn't be too hard to produce your own, especially since you're so close to finishing it.

6. Get on your knees and pray to RNGesus that he allows you to transcend into godhood upon consuming this juice. If he hears your prayer, he'll reward you with the final 5% so that your orange juice will taste like VICTORY.

7. Cry in agony as Marie Poppo steals your stars that you worked so hard to obtain.

8. Beat the living ♥♥♥♥ out of her until she gives every. single. one. back.

9. Produce a terrifying, yet slightly attractive, evil laugh.

10. Realize that you wasted far too much time trying to make that laugh sound more attractive. Because of that, Marc had already made her orange juice before you.

11. Throw the current glass at Marc's ugly face.

12. Grab a new glass.

13. Remember when I told you to pour 50% rage mix? Screw that, you're going full 100% rage.

14. Pick Star Breaker and beat the living ♥♥♥♥ out of not just Poppo and Marc, but every potential waifu and husbando from 3 different game universes because you're practically insane at this point.

Anyway enough but making my guide to making orange juice. Time for the actual game review:

Yeah, it's pretty fun. Buy it.

If you never played a Final Fantasy game in your life, this is the game to start with.

My reasons being:

1. The characters. Zidane is one of the best MCs if not the best thanks to his charming personality and his desire to help others without any real reason. It's also nice to see the cast mature as the game progresses. Also, Vivi.

2. The story. I can't really explain this one without spoiling it. Just know that the plot only goes forward, there is never a single moment I hated in this game. There are some plot twists that are well done.

3. The soundtrack. Nobuo Uematsu at his finest. Every track fits with the scene and perfectly captures the mood. Melodies of Life is one of the greatest pieces composed in the Final Fantasy franchise.

4. How much you can truly appreciate it after you played it. You see, this was my first Final Fantasy game. Since then, I played every other core Final Fantasy title (I'm excluding XI and XIV since they're MMOs.) and when you decide to pick up Final Fantasy IX again, you'll realize what the game truly is. It's a thank you letter to everyone that played the game. The game is filled with so many allusions to its predecessors.

And to conclude this totally biased review, some poetry from a man with fabulous hair.

"Peace is but a shadow of death,
Desperate to forget its painful past.
Though we hope for promising years.
After shedding a thousand tears,
Yesterday's sorrow constantly nears.
And while the moon still shines blue,
By dawn, it will turn to scarlet hue."

I use Zenura Weave, sacrificing my clothing for power.
I go into a town and people judged me, the one that's saving them all, for not wearing anything.
I run into the Demon Lord, who is a lonely reject hellbent on killing everyone in the world.
Since we both weren't accepted, we ultimately joined forces and ran across the entire world together, allowing everyone of those townsfolk to suffer from the darkness.

All in all, this game is a beautiful story about discrimination, friendship, streaking, punching cute animals, and acceptance.
