Great game to cover that Silksong itch. Difficulty is rewarding. Lore is interesting. Looking forward to Red Candle's next game.

Turns out, the guy in charge of weapon balance is the guy single-handedly ruined Hello Neighbor 2. And now the game slowly becomes less fun with nerf after nerf. If you value your time, play something else.

Inspired by the Ace Combat series. Project wingman really delivered that "Ace Combat experience" without a huge team and big budget. Although there's short coming due to those factors (voice acting, no cutscene, etc.), the gameplay is quite solid. In some area, feels even better than Ace Combat. It's a must buy for anyone hungers for more Ace Combat like games.

First of all, this is a must play game if you are a BSG fan. It really catches that space battle feel from the show. Second, even if you are not a fan (yet), it's still worth a try. Although it's turn based like Xcom, but winning or losing a battle doesn't rely on RNG at all. It all comes down to your tactics, as well as using all the tools at your disposal. Although the enemy AI and difficulty handling should be further tweaked, but the dev is committed to make it a better game with each update/expansion.

This is NOT a company that you want to support. They do NOT respect their costumer. They only want you to endlessly give them money then spit you out. Action speak louder than word. Stop buying their product en mass is the only way to show your disappointment.

The game might looks overwhelming first with all the interfaces. But once you actually get down to it, it's quite simple. The most you will use is property menu and ship's command console. Once you get those down, it's easier to learn than EVE online.

The game is every space sim geek's dream. You can do whatever you want, how you want. You want fly that fancy ship? No problem, you can buy it from faction shipyard. They don't sell it? No problem. You can train marines to capture it. No money? Get some freight ships and hauling goods. Or build your own space stations and start manufacturing things to sell, so you can build up your own fleet, from carriers, battleships, to corvette and fighters.

One other thing about the X series is its mod support. There's hundreds upon hundreds of community made mods that enhance the gaming experience. All can be found on Egosoft's community forum. Mods range from small fix, to total overhaul that adds tons of replayability. One mod I personally recommend is the XRM. It overhaul the entire vanilla universe while rebalancing very ships, weapons, and missiles. There's another mod that ported the Terran conflict's individual plot line into Albion Prelude so you can enjoy all the improvements AP brought while playing the old story missions.

All in all, X3 AP is the pinnacle of single player space sim game. If you don't enjoy EVE online's complexity, this is the definite space sim game for you.
