They weren't lying when they said this is the worst FromSoftware game.
The enemy placement is literally trolling — every encounter is a gank fight and has a comically large aggro area.
Fog gates have no i-frames now, so you must clear the mobs before entering, or when you look back there will be 10 enemies running at you, body-blocking and killing you.
Overall, the game feels kind of rough and inconsistent,
but at least it’s a nice change of pace from the other DS games.
Still okay though.

Believe it or not. This is gacha game where I can actually feel the devs’ passion,
they genuinely want the game to be good.
Not the usual “minimum budget, barely works,
reuse same animations a million times,
squeeze maximum profit” kind of thing.

The characters look great, the maps look amazing.
I don’t even want to compare, but the map quality is on the same level as Elden Ring.

If you quit back in version 1.0, give it another try
the game is way better now (because yeah, at launch 1.0 it was honestly trash).
There’s also a system that lets you skip straight to patch 2.0.

The only downside i can think of is optimization is still bad tho.

After finishing the true ending, I can say this game is truly amazing
but I can also confirm it’s definitely too hard and not for everyone.
Still, it is a game after all; it’s made to be beaten.
Everything has improved from the first Hollow Knight, the combat is faster and way more exciting.
