Seeing the review bombing had me feeling some typa way, and evidently comments are limited to 1000 characters. So this goes out to all the people who enjoy the game, think it's swell, ask their friends to play with them, care enough to read the balance changes, just to turn around and bash the game itself because you don't like the balance changes, this is for you (notably this is not for people who actually don't like the game)*:

The balance changes are fine and they all address real issues. Stoke changed from giving you a bunch of cards to... giving you a bunch of cards. It just doesn't thin your deck anymore. It's probably a nerf but I'm sure it will also pop off in fun ways a lot. "Is it stupid to simultaneously change energy generation and this?" be at least a little bit genuine as you review bomb a game for unreleased balance changes and then play 8 hours of it the same day.

Necrobinder kinda only got the souls spam build nerfed, which was 1000% too busted to leave in the game. Her weaker cards got buffed anyways.

You straight up hallucinated a Regent nerf.

Assuming you mean the Vakuu's Preserved Fog relic, removing 5 cards was completely absurd almost all the time, only exceptions being if you duplicated your deck or took Bing Bong. And they also did balance the weakness. The weakness got balanced the weakness is no longer as bad.

Interpreting these balance changes as 'teaching players how to play the game' is an absurd take considering the game has been in early access for 2 weeks. It's a great thing that their balance changes are this meaty - it shows that they're looking out for all of the builds and encounters and committed to bringing about their vision for the game. The prevalence of infinites is dopamine heavy but ultimately it would lead to losing players, and the appropriate rate of infinite combos, IMO, is entirely up to the developers' discretion.

I'm sure there are people who will legitimately enjoy the game less should these balance changes go through, and maybe you're one of them. In which case a negative review is reasonable.

But from reading this review and considering your 99 hours past 2 weeks, it seems like Slay the Spire is your jam, and my guess is that in the long run you will appreciate the roguelike strategy game not giving you cheap wins so frequently. Review bombing a game that you're enjoying the hell out of for 7-8 hours a day is disrespectful to the devs and wholly inconsiderate of your power as a reviewer.

If you still maintain that you do 'Not Recommend' this game to other people, that's fine and that's your opinion. In that case all I have to argue is that you should really be nicer to people and not berate them for creative choices in their computer game.
