Pretty good.

Fun little rogue-like so far. I'm having a good time playing it when I do.

It's got all the charm of the old game with a lot of improvements and, so far, nothing lost. Excellent stuff!

This is probably the most interesting game I've played this year to date. The characters are lively, the gameplay loop feels rewarding and I just lose hours to its minigames. Everything is executed well with the possible exception of the minigames. For some reason none of the older games want to emulate properly. It will probably get fixed, but for now I wait.

This game scratched an itch I didn't know I had until I saw it. It's basically Symphony of the Night and that's not a bad thing. My only complaint is that the sound has some really wonky levels sometimes. Like some things will be super quiet and then others will just about wreck my speakers. Other than that, it's amazing and plays so well.

It's rare that a game has my full attention for days. This action platformer, with its own style that only kids from a certain time and place could bring together, had my attention locked on it with vice grips. Daryl plays pretty smoothly and I found the comedy kept me grinning ear to ear. The gameplay is smooth and once you find a set of powers that work for you, you'll be ripping through enemies like a chainsaw of adolescent, mouth-breathing destruction.

To be fair it has its small share of glitches and issues. There's a problem with one of the powers that I'm reasonably certain has to do with whether your health ends in an odd or even number. An unimportant side-mission late-game crashed the whole thing. But the help thread had the developer looking into just about every issue. The map is more a guideline than a guide, but I found exploring was pretty fun. Look for hidden holes along walls if you want to save yourself a few hours of backtracking for certain items like pictures and locker combinations.

All in all, this is the most fun experience Iv'e had with a independently developed game in many years. It has heart, it has a great style and a great theme song. To the developers, You made a damn diamond in the rough and so many more people should be playing this.

This series has consumed my life for a long time. Playing every part from start to finish, trying to get every drop of story out of the item descrpitions and such. This is the first one I've been able to platinum (pre-DLC).

That's not to say it's without its problems. I'm convinced they will never get PVP right in a game like this, so I've learned to stop worrying about it. I'm also convinced poise could've been explained better for this run-through (Turns out it's only relevant to super-armor on certain weapon movesets). Other than that, I had a blast. Thank you, FROM.

EDIT: I come back to enjoy this game only to find ALL OF MY CHARACTERS HAVE BEEN ERASED! I restart the game and my first PVP victory ends with me getting hacked items permanently affixed to my character! Ten seconds later as I'm trying to figure out what to do next, I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ YEETED from the high wall of Lothric to just outside of Ocieros' boss area to be mashed to a pulp by knights. This used to be a fun game.

Hope you brought your xanax, this game is more of a downer than my love life. Story and gameplay are great, though.

Never has a metroidvania-style game so engrossed and unnerved me with imagery alone. This is the type of game Cthulhu itself would beam into your frontal cortex if it was pleased with your service.
