Fantastic game, a real labour of love from the devs here. Got gifted this game off a mate, and I can't stop coming back to it every so often. The community are pretty chill too.

Garry's mod, one of the most fun games I have ever played.

Playing alone, Garry's mod is a good game as you can meet many people across a variety of different servers and gametypes that want to just mess around and have fun. However, Garry's mod is designed to be played with friends and when you have a group of friends together on a Garry's mod server, it makes for some memorable moments that will stick with you for quite some time. I mean, creating a Hoboville in a Role playing server and starting a revolution as a gang of hobos who have ascended to a full crime syndicate; who take over the city and rule under a stinky bugbait fist - is pretty memorable.

Role playing servers are not the only servers though, no, there are hundreds of gamemodes to choose from on the easy to use server browser and interface in general. So you just need to play a little of each, see what you like, and get some friends on. Garry's mod gametypes, such as prophunt and murder, are very popular on Youtube at the moment, so there is likely to be an influx in players buying Garry's mod in sales - where it can drop down to as cheap as £1.49. (~$2.44 )

Overall Garry's mod is the ultimate 'screw around' game, and if you don't pick it up in a sale you should be sentenced to death by snu snu.
