Me and my friend Tiebe play this game, two barbarian chiefs trying to survive the machinations of other barbarians, possibly cousins, but they will try to rape our women and pillage our lands nevertheless. Our respective families are strong though, with tough high chiefs driving off these scumfucs, while recruiting levies and nobles with longswords.

Yet in the middle of this backstabbing, corruption and war, the landscape is so pure, almost making it worthy for your soldiers to die in battle for their people and your power ambitions. Eventually, we get to a point where we play only occasionally because such is life, but in these far and few between moments in our timelines where we get on Discord to play, we are transported to ages past, where everything was more brutal and simple.

I mean, we men just want women, gold and the blood of enemies on our hands. Many of us don't have the privilege of getting the third (and some don't even get any of them) but at least we can simulate in this manly-man game. "We're men, manly men" says the general. And of course, you want to be smart and never play vanilla campaign. No, my friend, this cool experience I am talking about is Divide et Impera, one of the best mods out there, for this banger alone you can buy this title and have tons of fun.

Now for the gameplay, well, at this point, you must have noticed this is not a review per se, but just a product of a bored man on a rainy day, listening to Faun's only good track (Egill's Saga) and without any hopes nor anything because this man is a stoic virtuous empty husk. Lol I'm kidding, this game is actually pretty good, but don't be dumb, appreciate all the details, try to get immersed in your roleplay, savor the variety factions have to offer, try sieges, pitched battles, ambushes, take the bride for a ride because you're a cataphract chad and I guarantee you will have a more fulfilling experience getting sucked (hehe) into this vast world. Take care.
