Honestly? It's incredible.

It's a high price to get the ULTIMATE experience, but there's A LOT here.

Initially hard to comprehend it's depth and variety, but really opens up into a great CIV-like. What sets it apart is how you can personally fight the battles - live controlling your armies in the field if you want to have better odds. Anytime you don't feel like doing that, you can auto-fight and skip any fights assuming you're ok with the proposed outcome the game gives you.

If the auto-fight insists you would lose - fighting the battle yourself and coming up with a strategy to turn what would be a "decisive defeat" into a victory feels super rewarding.

The map of WARHAMMER - the super duper combined one, is incredibly big, fleshed out, detailed. The races feel distinct and each has tons of unique units. Tons of replay ability between the sheer size of the map and the quantity of races, lords, abilities, everything.

Watching the fights unfold closeup in slowmo on a high end computer is next level. All the units and unique creatures have been animated with great personality, the detailing is top tier. I really feel like I'm some God in the sky watching all these little living creatures and people squabble.

The game is very challenging but you can just keep reloading your save until you figure out the optimal solution out of a losing situation.

Finally, assuming you have friends who also own the game, you can do all the campaign in multiplayer. Being friendly or killing each other is all up to you, like a big game of Risk but with lots of NPC's. Up to eight players. Players all move and take their turns at the same time, so it doesn't feel as slow as it could be. I have yet to experience more than one player but I imagine its quite cool.

I whole heartedly recommend it!

Overall game play wise I think its an improvement over Doom Eternal, instead of dodging sideways you charge forward. The combat feels new but it's really fun, better even. The art/graphics is nuts, everything looks top notch.
My only gripe is I'm not a huge fan of the forced flying or the titan segments, but it's not so bad.

They literally put me in the game so its a cool DLC but unlocking it is the absolute worst.
Use an all outfits save file from Nexus Mods or unlock it quickly using Cheat Engine, that's the only solution.

Recent updates have made this game actually playable. Best GTA story by far, highly recommend.
