Well - this game certainly seems to have split its audience right down the middle.
To be fair; I can totally see the point of view that others might have on this -- the whole politicism thing is quite bombastic and in-your-face.

WIth that out of the way; wow - this was WAY better than expected.
Voices were great, and the gameplay turned out just as I thought; essentially this is a great take on a weird combination of the best-of of what Telltale games had to offer, fused with a bit of both Not Tonight (and by extension, Papers, Please) thematically, and Firewatch with regards to the gameplay.

I can strongly recommend this one, and I will not spoil anything other than that!

This one came out of left field for me - I got a bit hooked by the 'blow ♥♥♥♥ up' trailer in my Steam Queue and had to dive straight in...

First off; I better mention that this game seems to be severely plagued by co-op progression-related issues - I am hoping for this to be fixed shortly (the devs seem very receptive to feedback), and will update this review once it is.
There are also quite a few other bugs with random progression bugs, and items being lost - the devs seem to be working through these currently.

This game is pretty much the best take I have ever seen on 'Diablo with guns' - and the setting is beyond awesome. This game completely NAILS the cyberpunk 'feeling' that we all sort of expected to get out of Cyberpunk 2077.

Combat feels super visceral and 'in-your-face' - and everything happens at breakneck speeds.
The story is great, and all main missions are fully voiced. Side missions feel a bit less fleshed out, but still add a great deal to the game overall.

All in all; a huge recommendation from me!

Well, to be short: yes, I'd recommend Mafia: DE.
But in order to give fair warning; some of the weirdness of Mafia III has sadly snuck into this (otherwise quite faithful) recreation. There are some weird T-poses in the earlygame whilst jumping fences - and some odd times during the story where the audio glitches out, and I also experienced a few 'stuck' loading screens.
With that out of the way, though - I would (as an old Mafia I, II (and III) player) clearly recommend this - it is very faithful, with only a few omissions and changes.

A few missions have been merged into a single one, and Lucas side-missions are moved into free-play only.
The graphics are quite nice, but also have some oddness to them (think Mafia III, but not quite as pronounced) - but compared to the original, this is seriously a beautiful recreation of Lost Heaven.
If you enjoyed Mafia II (or III, but this game is quite different), this is simply a must-play.

I got exactly 24 hours of gametime with all collectibles, special vehicles and costumes collected (mostly in free-play, as I was not very attentive of collectibles during the story).

All in all; give it a shot! The original is a complete classic, and this remake is a very faithful one.

Well, Not Tonight is an odd one.
While it is a great game and I completely recommend it - there are a few caveats to be aware of.
But first; the positives...
The graphics are oddly beautiful for the aesthetic they are aiming for - the backgrounds are very pretty, and you really want to study them... only you can't because you're so insanely busy all the time!
The soundtrack and sound design in general is simply stellar, and the 'voices' in the game are hilarious.
It is a very politically charged game, but honestly, I don't mind that - it does it in a quite tongue-in-cheek way.
And then for a few not-so-great things:
The game can get quite stale towards the end.
Some features (the ability to give items to certain guests, for instance) are not properly explained before they are introduced.
However, all in all, it is a definite recommendation from me!

Early Access Review
Karnage is a really good take on the classic RPG experience in VR, and even contains an optional (but strongly recommended, I'd say) Co-Op mode.
There are currently two classes to pick from;
The Warrior, which is your typical hack 'n' slash in-their-faces fighter, with melee (a) weapon(s) and/or a shield.
The Archer, which is a ranged fighter, using daggers should targets get too close.
Some aspects of the game are not quite as polished as one could hope, but hacking and slashing through this game with a friend in Co-Op makes all that irrelevant.
All in all; I'd strongly recommend it!

This game is actually amazingly good for what it is.
It appears (on the surface) to be a simple throw-back to the old days, playing Duck Hunt on the NES complete with Light Gun and all.
Soon, however, it becomes clear that not all is as it seems.
The game is not necessarily for the faint of heart, as it actually involves quite a few scary moments.
There are several outcomes for this short story (6...(or maybe more? ;)) in total) - and I totally recommend playing through it to achieve them all.
Maybe a bit on the pricy side considering the length of the game, but still one I would put in the pile of 'gotta play this' VR games!

Somehow, Valve did it again - just as they did with former titles in this brilliant series.
What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ride...
I am utterly amazed.
Beyond the above reaction - everything about this game just pushes VR forward.
I purchased my Rift S just for this, and I will say - it was worth it. Every cent.
The level of pure immersion that Valve has achieved here, is just mind blowingly well done.
I caught myself kicking stuff instinctively several times, and had to laugh at how caught up I was in it all.
Any and all Half Life fans owe it to themselves to play this, seriously.

If you enjoyed The Stick of Truth - you'll love this one.
Combat is quite a bit different, but in my opinion it is a clear improvement.

Seriously a great game!

Honestly, it's probably the very best version of the Hitman concept ever released.
Everything has been cleaned up nicely and given a bit of a boost engine-wise.
This is definitely the version to go for!

There are, however, a few factors, which one needs to keep in mind before deciding to purchase this - firstly, are you okay with "permanently" missing missions? The game has this feature called 'Elusive Targets', which are available for a set amount of time after which they will no longer be available.
I suspect the target list will 'wrap around', and restart from the beginning at some point, but for now quite a few targets will be unavailable for you.

Aside from the Elusive Targets, Hitman 2 does everything Hitman (2016) did, but much, much better.
If you get the Legacy pack (or own Hitman (2016)), all the maps from the first season will be available to you.

Looking back at this review (almost) a year later; it holds up for sure!

This game is simply beautiful.
There's something deeply unsettling, yet oh so pleasing about the way city management has been boiled down to it's very core here - everything you do in this game has a surprising amount of consequence to it.
Essentially, you're constantly juggling demands of the people and obtaining resources, versus keeping said people warm, fed and healthy.
The addition of the fourth scenario (The Fall of Winterhome) pulled me right back in, and has me mentally preparing for running an Endless game over the next few days.
Highly recommended.
