After the release of Kiwami 3 and changing the Yakuza complete collection to a "complete the set" bundle, SEGA and RGG have turned the bundle BACK into a "purchase as set" bundle, which is incredibly scummy behaviour. You can see the history for the bundle and confirm this yourself here.[steamdb.info] This is the third time I am editing this review.
THE YAKUZA BUNDLE WILL NOT BE DISCOUNTED IF YOU OWN GAMES ALREADY. YOU WILL PURCHASE WHATEVER YOU OWN TWICE, AND WILL NOT RECIEVE A SECOND COPY OF ANYTHING YOU OWN.
Yakuza 3 Remastered is only available to purchase via the Yakuza Complete Series bundle. This is bundled with the widely-criticised and overpriced Yakuza 0: Director's cut. This bundle also costs $130USD, which for me is A$173. The issue with this bundle is that even if you own a game in it (or all the games, like me), you still have to pay the price of the full bundle at cost, either on sale or full price.
♥♥♥♥ you, Sega. ♥♥♥♥ you, RGG.

With the launch of Kiwami 3, the Yakuza Complete Series bundle was changed from a bundled single purchase to a "Complete the set" purchase.
Purchasing the Yakuza Complete Series bundle will now only mean you have to pay for games you do not own. However, this bundle also contains the widely criticised Yakuza 0: Director's Cut, priced roughly 200% more than the original Yakuza 0, which RGG also delisted.

This bundle is currently the only way to obtain Yakuza 3 Remastered, and it includes an overpriced version of a game that most people probably own, considering the original Yakuza 0 (not bundled) would often go on sale for $5 or less.
Yakuza 3 Remastered is NOT bundled with Kiwami 3. Yakuza 3 Remastered steam keys are climbing in value. Yakuza 3 Remastered is only available to purchase on steam alongside a $50/A$78 game, if you own every other title. This is not fair, and extremely anti consumer, as well as anti game preserving.
RELIST YAKUZA 3.
Kiwami 3 is not a stand-in or a replacement from this game. Kiwami 3 completely drops a lot of what made Yakuza 3 great, and what became a staple of the series going forwards. Content wise, Kiwami 3 lacks main story, substories, minigames, characters, and even the map from Yakuza 3. Kiwami 3 can not replace Yakuza 3 in any capacity. This is not just to slag Kiwami 3, this is frustration that this studio refuses to let the two games coexist. Everyone should have the option to choose both games to play, but clearly Kiwami 3 is a major step down, and could never coexist with Yakuza 3, since people would choose the cheaper, better game.

The fact this game has been pulled from storefronts for individual purchase is criminal.
The fact this game is not bundled with the purchase of Yakuza Kiwami 3 is terrible.
The fact that RGG themselves have to cherry pick their reviews of 9/10s from random people[x.com] when talking about Yakuza Kiwami 3 is deplorable.

Yakuza 3 is an incredible game, and I highly recommend you play it, although I do not agree with purchasing via the bundle or giving RGG any more money. The Yakuza Complete Series bundle used to be a great deal, with the whole thing being priced less than half of the current cost of Kiwami 3. Now it is designed to squeeze you for all you are worth.
Despite Yakuza 3 Remastered being my favourite game in the series, this review will stay negative.

This is a scummy business practice to both force the purchase of Kiwami 3, and to lock this game behind an absurd paywall. Despite its age, and supposed flaws (some say it's great, some say it's Blockuza 3), it does not deserve to be locked away behind a ridiculous price, when it is currently purchaseable off sale at US$20 / A$25.
This decision comes after a slew of bad decisions the last 2 years from RGG studios, from locking NG+ behind a paywall in Infinite Wealth, to the DLC/story content in Pirate Yakuza, to the delisting of the original Yakuza 0 for a 200% price increase "Director's cut" with barely enough content added, let alone good content. Now, they are locking this game behind the bundle of the Yakuza complete series. They could change it to a bundle where you can "Complete your collection" and only purchase what you don't own, but they won't. RGG are obsessed with squeezing every cent they can out of you.
Kiwami 3 will be lacking content from this game that made it unique, and became a staple of the series for the next few games. Revelations will not be returning, fan-favourite characters will be recast with likeness actors, the story may be changed drastically to retcon important events and deaths, and a section of the map of Okinawa will be removed. All of these changes, and more, seem pointless to remove, and it is incredibly disappointing to see. None of this is even touching on the casting decision they made for Goh Hamazaki (renamed "Go Hamazaki" in Kiwami 3 for ??? reason), so all of my points are made regardless of personal opinions on that situation.

For all it's faults and flaws, Yakuza 3 is a great game, with lots to do, and has one of the best stories in the series. There is no reason for it to not coexist besides Yakuza Kiwami 3, other than the fact that they seem to believe K3 won't be able to stand on it's own against this game. The studio you once knew, the studio that gave you everything form Yakuza 1 to Like a Dragon, is completely gone. They only want your money, and will not listen to the fans about what they want. Yakuza 3 remastered could coexist with Yakuza Kiwami 3, the same way Yakuza 0 could have coexisted with the Director's Cut, but they willingly choose to remove these classic titles instead for added mediocrity. I don't even want to recommend purchasing this game before it gets delisted, for the sake of not giving RGG more money.

RGG Studios, you will not get any more money out of me. You have burnt all the goodwill you have built up over almost 20 years. Yokoyama, you have failed as a studio director. Watching the downfall of RGG Studios is extremely sad, but I will not continue to support anti-consumer practices, and anti-fan behaviours.

WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning! Once there was a little boy called Mønster, he was ten-years-old and he lived in a mental hospital because he posted a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ copypasta onto a Garry's Mod addon's comment section . He got so bad he went to kill all the staff in the hospital so the Feds decided that best idea was to get rid of him so they set up a special room to kill him, as inhumane as possible. And he sat there in agony for hours until he died. Now every week on the day of his death he returns to the person that reads this letter, on a monday night at 12:00 a.m. He creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by pegging you and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other profiles on this one site, and he will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently if u copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes nothing will happen

Dear , Jane The Dumptruck

I hope this message finds you well. My name is dinked by a twink, and I’m reaching out to express my interest in becoming an early tester for Hentai Aim Trainer.

I’ve been following the project with great interest and am impressed by its unique concept and design direction. I would be honored to contribute by providing feedback and helping to improve the gameplay experience during development.

If you're currently looking for testers or plan to in the near future, I would love the opportunity to be considered. Please let me know if there are any specific requirements or an application process I should follow.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response :Neko:
