Rarest Achievement Showcase
Welcome to my profile!
You've scrolled down this far so maybe your visit is more than just a cursory one... :steamhappy:

A little bit about me:
I'm as old as the hills and have been playing games since BC (Before Computers). In about 1975 I graduated from Monopoly onto wargames such as those published by SPI and Avalon Hill; games that used paper maps, cardboard die-cut counters, extensive manuals :magazine: (which one had to grok before one could even think about playing! :archduck:), and, of course, dice. Around about 1977 I discovered D&D.

All this gaming experience set me up nicely for my first full-time employment -- with Games Workshop. As part of the GWGDT* I helped playtest such games as Apocalypse (developed from The Warlord [boardgamegeek.com] -- although this saw an implementation on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum it has sadly not made it to the current iteration of computers) and Talisman .

I fully intend to continue feeding the gaming habit until I'm well into my dotage.

Thanks for listening, and feel free to send me a 'friend' invite if you want to shoot the breeze. :espresso:

Solutions for when you're stuck in 'The Answer is 42' by Mens Sana Interactive, a game which has been described by Eccentrica Gallumbits as "the best bang since the Big One" (though some deluded folk think she was in fact referring to Zaphod Beeblebrox). D

Thanks for the game! Am in the car with mum and mum-in-law now, but I'll check it out when the holiday madness has passed. :)

Merry ho ho!

@thirstiekirstie you're welcome. I've played it a little longer now, and it seems to have more depth than I thought at first. Definitely worth a look.

I've been wanting to play it as lots have recommended it for me. Thanks for letting me know :)

Stardew Valley is a bit of fun. It's a farming game, simple but quite appealing in its way.

Heya! I meant to thank you for the friend invite. How's StarDew Valley btw? I was thinking of getting it during the Winter Sale.
