It's alright. I was obviously hoping for more. There's a staggering lack of variety in matches considering the randomization of the spawn points, base location, corruption, and challenges every game. Takes a minute to figure out a path and then watch for fliers.

No endless mode. No playground mode. Hardly any info about what things like shiny do. You eventually unlock everything and then you can use your skulls to unlock some skins and per-run buffs. It's painfully unforgiving if you select the wrong towers to upgrade first.

There are a lot of traps and they look different, but they aren't really. But that means some of them are going to be the clear best, so you only need to play those. Some of the characters suck, some are super good. No reason to play the sucky ones. You can just upgrade one set and reuse the same traps every time you play. There are a few unlocks that require a damage type, but then you're good to go back to playing the same old game.

Multiplayer is a tiny bit different. Instead of taking your normal loadout you just make sure that between everyone you have at least 1 barricade, wall, floor, ceiling, slow, trash mob, and boss traps.

But there aren't any cash generators nor are there end game towers and the only buffing tower is a barricade that only buffs its direct neighbors. I haven't come across any networking towers that in other games typically cost a lot, but scale exponentially as you add more.

All in all, it's worth playing if you have some friends to play with. But it's not going to last long.
