Overall i liked it, good network code, exactly 3 player coop which is good for people that don't have a 4th player and don't want a bot hanging around. It also plays well on the Asus Rog Ally.

Great game, would recommend to fans of Sunset Overdrive and Earth Defense Force because that's roughly what you're getting here.

In all my years of gaming, this is the closest thing i've seen to a true successor to Jagged Alliance 2.

Phantom Doctrine is a turn based tactics strategy game with a spy themed meta game. In the game you'll recruit agents, forge cash and wait for map alerts to provide you with tactical missions which range from planting bombs, to killing a bunch of people and rescuing someone before they get snuffed.

The tactical gameplay rules are better than previous games i've played. One thing i like is a rule that at point blank range dodging is impossible. It shows some thought went into the combat.

Phantom Doctrine is by no means a perfect game. I personally liked the visuals, the soundtrack and most of the gameplay.

The big flaw of this game is similar to other tactical games which use a world map. That flaw being the scope of game is larger than the number of maps. As everyone keeps saying, by 20 or 30 hours you should be familiar with some of the maps and it will get frustrating to see them over and over.

Other than that i have nothing bad to say about this game just because i've yearned for something like this for years. If like me you've craved a replaced for Jagged Alliance 2 then consider snapping this up while staying cognisant of the map repetition that awaits you from 20+ hours in,

Gods must be Watching is an expanded version of the original browser game. You can try it here to see if you like the gameplay.

This version comes with a puzzle mode alongside the normal mode. I finished it on the easy version of normal mode where probabilty factors into whether or not your actions are successful. The game also comes with a puzzle mode for people who dont like the idea of probability causing actions to fail.

I thought it was fun and engaging but this is defintely niche title that is not suited to everyone.
