I wouldn't recommend it at this stage, especially for the current price and some of the issues.

Most are very basic, that could be sorted out quickly if there is any interest in not alienating their userbase.

Sometimes I feel there's no QA done by people that have never played <enter Franchise name>, as this applies to most games that have have a long history and have a big fan/user base that have been playing it for quite a while. Most of these would have been picked up very easily.

The good:
- I like the paths, it's different
- The changes on buildings/districts

The mixed feelings:
- The UI... is "fine", some elements could be a bit smaller, I guess from a console/handheld perspective is better, but for PC it should allow us to make it smaller to get a better experience. It feels like it was stretched beyond it's normal size... it's odd, but it's "fine", disabled the "High Resolution UI Scaling" and it actually looks more high resolution... maybe it's a bug, or maybe it's better to not call it "High Resolution UI Scaling", maybe is better to be disabled by default on PC
- Tutorial needs another option: New to Civ 7, people that come from another Civ don't need to see most of the things
- Unit healing requires skipping every single turn, there should be a button, until I found there's a shortcut for it (H), then why no button on the UI? (Edit: found it, it's hidden, it's just the arrow that expands to reveal it's so not intuitive... damned UI)
- It's weird having the leaders ruling completely different civs.. Isabela ruling Egypt... why?

The sad:
- Lack of Hotseat... my most favourite feature... so many hours used previously... it's gone

The bad:
- Tutorial windows are borderline horrible, they block the view from what you are supposed to do, maybe it was because of the "High Resolution UI Scaling", yes you can minimize them to do what you are supposed to do, they should have a different shape/placement or we should be able to dismiss them

The unforgivable:
- Why no queueing for Science, Civics ? Am I missing something? It's the most basic feature a game should have... micromanagement hell... was QA done by people that actually played Civ before?

I'll come back to this review sometime later and update it if there's any improvements.

If you live in country/region that uses comma as a decimal separator, don't buy it, it will not work. Opened a ticket with SE back on July 2022 and this was their answer to a "bug":

"Thank you for providing this information. We will pass it to the relevant team. Due to the volume of suggestions we receive, we cannot guarantee individual responses. Thank you for your support."

It was classified as a Suggestion. So returned the game. One year later bug still there.
