One of my favorite narratives I've come across.
Evokes the glory days of Source engine hobby projects, to deliver a deep and important message.

Love the art style and atmosphere. Sometimes, that's enough.

After 90+ hours spent with Endless Legend, here are my take aways:
-The world is gorgeous, every biome and tile are intricately detailed and the colors pop
-The factions are creative, and (somewhat) balanced. Replaying the game as each is always interesting.
-Empire management is excellent, I like it better than Civ for this. Trade routes, economics, politics, population and resource management, it's all here. Simplified so that it's not overwhelming, but deep enough.
-Combat is a boring slog that slows down the game and isn't fun. Just take the high ground and bring ranged units. Auto-resolve where possible.
-Music is amazing.

Excellent Civ game. I was expecting to dislike it, as it has no diplomacy, trade, or economic elements (fitting for 40k, but they're core to what I like about other games), but there's enough nuance in how each faction operates that there's still quite a bit of strategy to maintaining a functioning empire.

The main thing to keep in mind is that while this a Civ game mechanically, it's laser focused on skirmish combat. If you go into Gladius excited to build cities, expand your presence, and develop your infrastructure, you'll self-destruct quickly. In a large map you'll want two, MAYBE three cities max, who's main purpose is troop supply and logistics.

I never could get into chess... too limiting and predefined.
This is much better.

A walking tour of a bunch of great gags and memorable moments.
You can see where sometimes the creativity stalls out a little, but I enjoyed my entire time with Jazzpunk.

This is one of the most clever and infinitely replayable puzzles I've ever come across. Between this and the iPad version, I've put in hundreds of hours and the game still feels thoughtful and challenging.
Creating puzzles of this deductive depth with a rules this simple and elegant is no easy task. A+
