Great game, way better than the first! Its quality isnt Grand Theft Auto levels but there are huge improvements in every aspect from the first DDS. Highly recommend to anyone who likes building a criminal empire, growing and/or mixing and producing drugs, or loves sandboxes/crafting and very light storytelling.

To quote a recent review of Starfield I read, "As wide as an ocean and as deep as a puddle." Accurate. I went in ready to fully commit to this game and play it till the wheels fell off it.
Unfortunately, the game began to feel so redundant I couldn't bring myself to turn it back on after two or three weeks of coming home, ready to explore. The groundwork has been completed and now it's time to lean into some customization. There was many glaring things that made the game feel so repetitive, but to focus on just one example may help drive this point home. I found a random building on a planet, it was a science research facility inhabited by pirates or raiders of some sort. It was awesome, I fought my way through the building and looted it. Good times. Then I found the exact same building on another planet with the same bandits inside, then I found another and another. This example covers nearly all of sandbox play, which is so frustrating. This is probably why you cannot use your spaceship to fly across the planets surface in first person, you can only chose to jump to the next landing area on the planet map. They don't want you to see the buildings and terrain you would fly past along the way, because it would be like the background scenery of an old cartoon.

The game is solid but based on every single book on wiseguys I've ever read, the story is kinda weak on authenticity. They try and paint Vito as the wiseguy with the heart of gold and it's really grating. You're playing a hitman essentially. A wiseguy who paints houses, whatever you wanna say. These guys are murderers and thieves, they're supposed to be ruthless, it's just business.

its clunky, its limited, its vanilla. its beautiful, its a base improvement on arma3, its the future of arma. i have mixed feelings about it on day one but i can see the road map from here. its looking good for everyone who loved arma 3. this is a great first step towards mod development that has kept this community alive for years on a game released almost a decade ago (arma3). i may be ignorant, but if bohemia released this to get the ball rolling on mod development for arma4, then i have to congratulate them on the forethought put in. i am excited to see where this all goes. for me, arma reforger is worth the 30 bucks just to get a glimpse at what is coming soon. i high recommend this to any arma3 players and fans, i do not recommend this to the public at large. this isnt for you, you wont appreciate it.

Let's start with the bad. It's glitchy. That's it. The only other complaints I would make is there is no barber shops or tattoo parlors, which I feel is a huge oversight on a sandbox game. That being said, the game has only been out for a week and those are the worse things I can say about it. At this point, if you're patient with it, you will be rewarded.
Now the good. The soundtrack is amazing, the graphics are amazing, the story is amazing so far (probably halfway through it), and the characters really stick with me and made a lasting impression. The game could be far more glitchy and buggy than it is (and i cannot stress enough, it's bad at this point) and I would still recommend it a 100 times over. Once the developers sort out some of the details with the glitches and bugs, finish releasing content (I would be shocked if there is no expansion packs or additional content, maybe even a multiplayer version at some point). Just a beautiful piece of work and a fully immersive world. Hats off to the studio!

Game is dated but still offers one of the best uboat campaigns available in gaming. I recommend downloading and installing the mod pack "The Wolves of Steel" available outside of steam (but still steam compatible). Offers it all as far as WW2 sub warfare goes, and you can customize the difficulty you wanna play at. Want to navigate using the stars? done. Want to develop and use your own shooting solutions? done. Want to decode your incoming orders via the Enigma machine? done. Does any of that sound like too much work? well, rest assured, you can always go with an easier setting and avoid all that.

i like this game for so many reasons, and severly disappointed for one. first off, it has some wonderful graphics and the gameplay, between managing your crew and your sub, is amazing. i can sit for hours playing this game and it never really gets old even if the missions are the same format. every kill in a sub is unique, so you couldnt really duplicate a mission even if you played the exact same mission from a save file over and over. now to get to the negative and this one is huge for me. considering how long i will play to make advancements, flawlessly moving my submarine around enemies, calculating shooting solutions, etc... you go to save your progress and it seems to save fine but oh no, it hasn't. you spend hours making progress, setting up your sub in harbor, researching sub technology upgrades and running the missions, and for nothing because you cant save your progress thereafter. this is the single most frustrating thing about this game, ever. i hope the future patch (like the next one) addresses this, untill then i dont recommend buying uboat. once this saving problem has been fixed, have at it, you wont regret it.
