This game is doesn't reward you, no. Rather I find enjoyment in this game because the game encourage self reward. If a skill is learned the game seldom rewards you for it, but it allows you to see your improvement because the improvements were impactful and meaningful. I feel like i have achieved something even though i haven't got any adornment to display that. Instead i can use this skill and feel the reward myself.

Came for the art style, stayed for the gameplay.

The artstyle is appealing and the movement is rewarding. The pace of the give is slow enough for full enjoyment of the art in both background and characters.

Death is meaningful, but only damaging when you don't add effort.

The game definitely panders to a controller based audience but has been made tolerable thanks to some hotkeys. The game is visually pleasing but some goals do not feel rewarding being completed again. For a randomized sandbox it does not have a good replay ability. Thankfully, there is a lot of content to go through so replay ability isn't as impacting.
