Early Access Review
there was a lot.. a LOT of controversy over this game on twitter (not a real place anyway) since rule 34 on two anime style siblings hit the internet worse then the opioid crisis hitting whites in the mid-west and rocky mountains. every single gaming related feed, meme site and chat room had some avatar of one of these two siblings and discord mods and their kittens were given a new couple to RP in their cringe sessions in the quiet depths of sweaty obese mens basements.

I played the game 3 hours, multiple saves, multiple outcomes and dialogue paths. I had received spoilers, but, the hentai that I was spammed seemed to paint the game in the light of being a reckless couple of teenagers (why do you perverts always sexualize relationships of underage folks? I am looking at you MHA fans..) who were, for whatever reason, kept in an apartment throughout the duration of the game while feasting on random folks in their apartment while avoiding the law and covering their tracks.

I had no idea the game would explore outside their apartment after an hour and a half of gameplay.

the coffin of Andy and Leyley is a well written game, putting the incest implications aside, both Andrew (as he prefers to be called) and Ashley paint themselves as protagonist with varying views on their situation. Andrew, born years earlier than Ashley, has a more stoic and often rigid personality hiding the fact that his sister has plagued him with guilt and in large, lacks empathy. Ashley, the bubbly, violent, narcissist, only has eyes for her brother and their survival. While early on, their relationship plays out similar to siblings, the undertone of a frustrating past and death seems to inner twine in their relationship, focusing on why such a young man would put up with the machinations of his violent, dark humored sister.

As they progress, Ashley seems to take on the majority of the talking, pushing the narrative forward with her impulsive and somewhat naive views on their situation. the plot surrounds the siblings in quarantine after an unnamed parasite has plagued their city for an unspecified amount of time. Despite water, rotten vegetables and little else, they are at their breaking point of possibly starving before an unlikely source of nourishment is made available following the summoning of a demon in the apartment adjacent to them.

If you're looking for the incest route -- to be frank, it's easily avoidable. Andy and LeyLey often banter like that one highschool couple, but for the most part, Andrew has a disdain for their actions and tries to convince his sister of their morality, albeit grey on their situations. Player decisions directly affect his dialogue with others throughout the game, so if you're playing with the focus of driving the incest plot line, it's almost definitely a possibility. I opted for different routes and found the incest route storywise to be completely out of left field.

I could buy it if there were more implications during the first episode; however, when a character jumps to the conclusion that Leyley is offering more than a little sibling love, the pieces from earlier episodes seem more implied IF you are thinking of the game in that way.

Hands down, the dialogue is funny, the choices don't tend to matter to further the storyline, if you mess up, chances are there will be a direct consequence or some other means of trying another route until you get it right. (in fact, the game downright scolds you in some points). It's definitely a story driven game, inventory, controls and everything else are simple. the charactisization is pretty solid and chapter 3 should be released some time soon. While I avoid any twitter spats (again, twitter is a cesspool for mentally challenged and deranged individuals to shout into their own little void) the game stands as a decent distraction with a good story and likeable protagonist.
