Would I recommend fall out NV?

Yes and No.

Compared to Fallout 3, the narrative of the game really navigates you in a smart and collective experience that drives home revenge, interesting characters and LOL EXPLOSIONS.

Seriously -- the game has been around for 14+ years and always has become a staple play spot every year of the time i've owned it. I started out every playthrough slightly differently based on the first mission, some of the time going in underwhelmed and unfocused, to meticulously narrowing down my individual players to thwart the opening threats. I allowed NPCs to die and rack up some of their unfinished missions while other NPCs i played as a vengeful prick and assassinated some right on the spot with shooty bullet to the face.

You can play the story out in so many different ways that a single playthrough isn't enough. the fun part, is that you can roleplay through the characters that you want in order to finish the game sooner or slower with progression opening up the maps as you go on.

I'd try and play through the vanilla edition as much as possible. no mods, no cheat codes, just your skills and a dry run through the game. The map is huge and outside of a few dead-ends and empty houses, everything seems to have a direction and far off blurry sunspots in the distance can often reveal small settlements with the most impossible to gauge stories and the most interesting single experience characters.

Fallout NV does more organically and pushes the player rather intelligently through the wasteland, offering a number of experiences, places and story plots to keep you entertained. I have 100+ hours in this game, most of it from wandering off into the wasteland and camping. Yep. Camping.

I'd idle in a spot set for firewood and cooking, hunt the surrounding area then sleep. The realism in games isn't always necessary, but it comes down to how you as the player wish to experience the journey for revenge.

Its a great game that all should experience.
