Excellent survival-horror RPG. Look Outside uses its horror aesthetic to ground its world and more freely explore the consequences of players' actions than most Earthbound-like RPGs. Its willingness to be horrifying makes the occasions where it decides to be wholesome much more meaningful. The game encourages you to persevere and be kind to others in order to survive the apocalypse.

If someone says to you "yeah my friends got me into CS again," it should be treated about the same as if a recovering drug addict said "yeah my friends got me into crack cocaine again."

Helldivers 2 was gutted several months back by a string of nerfs which I can only assume were meant to make strict 4-player coordination and weapons/strategy planning a requirement for success, but in practice only served to take the joy out of the game. Since the recent buff patch, this balance philosophy seems to have been abandoned, replaced with the unspoken intent to create the definitive PvE shooter sandbox. Since the patch, almost every loadout and strategy you can cook up is fun, viable, and engaging. The enemies of Managed Democracy remain as lethal as ever, but you have numerous options to dispatch them en masse, and gameplay is fresh and invigorating for the first time since the initial weeks of the game. I've been back for three days and I'm already hooked again.

Gorgeous game about relationships, trust, and how people hurt each other told through the lens of a bird man and a princess. It uses the strengths of visual novels as a medium very well and explores a decent range of horror concepts on top. The occasional idea happens to fall flat but overall the game is an impressive and thought-provoking experience.
