Very quickly became one of my favorite RPGs, if not one of my favorite games of all-time. (And this is coming from someone who typically isn’t a fan of horror.) It’s charming, it’s hilarious, it’s terrifying, and it’s heart-wrenching, with an amazing soundtrack and an incredible cast of characters. Look Outside pulls no punches in reminding you that the monsters you encounter were once your neighbors, adapting to their new realities with varying degrees of success. Some will help you or fight alongside you, while others are impossible to save… or are they? Sometimes, their fate depends entirely on you.

With multiple endings to achieve, Look Outside encourages you to experiment in every playthrough. There are currently 152 achievements to aim for, so you’ll have quite a few runs if you want to unlock them all. So far every one of my adventures has felt totally unique, and even after a current total of 90+ hours of playtime, I still see clips of interactions I’d somehow completely missed. If you want to switch up your fighting strategies, Look Outside has you covered there, too: there are plenty of party members with their own unique skills and strengths to try out, and the protagonist Sam’s moveset is highly customizable, depending on which video game skills and equipment you want to focus on. You can have him play support, you can make him a dedicated gunner or tank, or you can let this reclusive gamer take on the horrors beyond human comprehension entirely by himself, wielding a pool cue, a sock full of change, and a dream… and so on. It's entirely up to you.

This comparison’s been stated a few times but it bears repeating: if you’re a fan of EarthBound and you can stomach gore and body horror, Look Outside is an absolute must to add to your collection. Can’t wait for the upcoming merch! Begging for Sam and his friends to be made in plushie and/or figure form, I need every single one of them on my desk ASAP.

Amazing game love it

Haven't even finished it yet, but i have to say, it's amazing! Gets addicting really quickly, and the mechanics are also not bad at all! It's a turn-based game, like a pokemon-esque fighting style(?) Every decision you make will decide the outcome of not only the ending of the game, but also the endings of certain characters. Kinda makes you question yourself; is what you're doing really correct and the best you could do? I'm guessing you could say it's kind of an apocalyptic-type game. I can only recommend it for people who truly enjoy that, and those who don't mind grotesque/disgusting visuals. 'Freaking love this game!! I'd say, the best way to enjoy this game is to head straight in blindly, without any previous knowledge.
