As of right now I would say the game is worth playing, but definitely has work that needs done. For starters, unless you are going out of your way to play on a slower game speed, the game just ends up ending too fast. The 3 Era system is an interesting step away from the regular civ formula, and while I don't hate it, I feel that its a little unbaked and needs more time in the oven. All I am trying to say is that this game is fun, but feels like the game devs intentionally left it a little empty just so they can come and add more content in later to make more money. I wont say anything about the tech tree specifically as to avoid spoilers but my short explanation is that it feels too short, And that is kinda the whole games vibe. Everything feels like it ends right as it starts to get good, even when I switched it to the longest lasting era system it still ended every time I started to get invested into that era. My final comment is this, The game is good but the devs either took, or left a lot of content out that has long since made the civ franchise what it is today, and I suspect they only did that so that they can add it back in later in the form of an expansion and make more money.

Battlefield 1 is probably one of my all-time favorite "Shooter" Games I have ever played. from the immersion to the story mode, the whole game is an absolute blast and while I only have like an hour and a half of play time here, I have a lot more play time on console and I can say for sure that if you like to really feel like a soldier fighting in the trenches with all you've got, than this is the game for you

I only have a few hours on steam, but I played a handful of the game on xbox and I feel like I know enough to write a fair review. To put it simply, the game has too many moving parts to go into detail so I will just say this. If you aren't afraid of change, than this game is for you. I have personally always loved cod games for zombies and campaigns.

Campaign:
while this games campaign is definitely fun in some areas *Cough fracture jaw cough* in other areas it tends to feel like your same old cod campaign with nothing new or interesting to talk about other than "Wow look at how pretty the graphics are" Now don't get me wrong when compared to graphics like the MW2 remake these aren't even a close comparison, but they're still good looking enough that you will need a fairly beefy computer if you wanna run the game on anything but medium. High graphics and up are typically reaching ray-tracing territory so if you don't have a ray tracing capable pc than I would just stick with medium, or in some cases just changing the setting manually to put everything on high and keep ray tracing off.

Zombies:
This is typically the most controversial part of this game, with how drastically the game devs changed the zombie formula and all. Now by all means I get it, I started playing zombies back when it was created in World at war, and I absolutely fell in love with it and played pretty much every zombie game mode since. But if I am to be 100% honest with you, and this is just my opinion so it should only hold as much value as you personally give it. I honestly think that having zombies be a more open world and loose ended game mode like it is here is exactly what its been needing for a long time. Some of the most iconic and fan favorite zombie maps of all time have been massive maps where there weren't many other gimmicks other than the maps are big (With a few exceptions) So I am not entirely certain as to why people tend to hate on this zombie game mode (And yes I am skipping a lot of details by simply saying "Zombie game mode") But as I previously stated if you aren't afraid of trying new things and giving it a chance than I think a lot of people would like it. I would HEAVILY recommend playing the zombies mode with a friend who knows what they're doing for your first time, otherwise you may very well get confused if you are only used to oldschool zombies. However that is not to say you wont understand it at all, most people if you are willing to pay attention can figure it out pretty quickly, but if you don't have a friend to play/talk about it with than I recommend to just play, and keep both your eyes and ears open. Overall I would have to give the zombies around a 9/10 personally. I am not trying to say its a near perfect zombie experience by any means it actually has a good handful of issues with it as well, but I just personally feel that the open world and new zombies feel is a big enough breath of fresh air that it tends to out weigh the cons, at least in my own personal opinion.

TLDR:
If you don't mind change and aren't afraid of getting to learn a few new parts to zombies than this gamemode is for you. It plays better with friends but you will probably have fun alone to as that is how I have been playing and am having a blast. Campaign is also fun.
