Early Access Review
Decidedly a coop game. Most if not all bad reviews you'll find will be about the fact that you shouldn't (and probably cannot) play this game solo. But guess what! your friends can literally play for FREE with you.

I see a lot of potential here. Yes - the royalty free music is whack, the monsters can be repetetive, but at its core, this game is a ton of fun with some friends! And i wanna support that :)

Suffers from some horrible control issues. Quick menus require you to fully release movement buttons before you can move again, stopping all momentum and making menu-ing awkward. How did this get through play-testing?
Oh and also: Let me disable the Epic Games popup that wants me to log in EVERY boot up.

It was a fun, challenging experience (on Hard Difficulty) until the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ forest. There is simply no way to prepare for the Worm and Stinger at the same time. Can't kite, can't kill them even with gadgets. Once you find them its bye-bye.
This game seems to enjoy difficulty in the form of good old unexpected oneshots or ramp ups in difficulty like arcade machines used to. Can't say I'm having a good time anymore.

[EDIT:] After talking about this issue on the discord, the Dev themselves responded and quickly hotfixed my problem. Peak customer support!

8 bucks got me playable performance in the form of Framegen (albeit with a little input lag) for MH Wilds. Worth it in my eyes? 100%

I am in love with this game. I waited for years and my god does it deliver. Why the negative review then? Performance. Devs prioritising Console over PC once more is bad practice - even worse when their idea of "troubleshooting" is telling players to buy a better PC.

Will change to an upvote once i get a stable 60fps (!!!) with my PC which otherwise can run most things on 4k 120hz.

Delightful coop roguelite fun! Soundtrack is decent, visual clutter is managable most of the time and the game is overall very lighthearted yet a ton of fun. Tons of references and jokes that had me and my mates giggle throughout our evening. The game was clearly designed with coop in mind - too many QoL features to name.
The combat itself is fun, fast paced and reminds me of Hades and Wizard of Legend. The weakest point of the game would have to be the story, which, don't get me wrong, is perfectly fine. Big bad wizard with a grudge against the good sage guy wants to destroy the world and you have to stop him. It's about as complicated as it needs to be for me.

Overall, this game is a massive steal at 50% off, and even a strong recommend at full price if you don't know what to play for a local or online coop gaming session!

Vibes of Mother 3, Omori and Silent Hill - Turn-based combat along with creepy pixel-art, storytelling which gets progressively more eldritch and obscure. The soundtrack, while fantastic and fitting, gets a little repetetive after a little while making me wish there was more variety to the tracks. Either way, a hard recommend especially at such a low price. I'm positively creeped out and hooked!

Beat 'em up mixed with a Rythm game that shines at what it wants to do, with minor shortcomings.

This game was on my radar for a while and took about 14 hours to complete the Main Story on the hardest difficulty - though there is more gameplay yet in the form of different Post-story modes and a special surprise I won't spoil.

It doesn't try to take itself very seriously, but still delivers a very convincing, heartwarming story that's easy to follow and fun to play out.

The actual gameplay consists out of three main parts:
* Combat in the form of combo-based melee attacks mixed in with ranged/utility powerups in the form of companions/call ins
* Platforming and exploration
* Occasional QTE also in the form of a rythm game

All of which are executed fantastically, easy to learn and difficult to master.

There are some minor gripes i have with it (for example the inconsistent difficulty spikes with some enemies + weird respawn rules for encounters vs. bosses) but nothing that actually put me off of finishing it.

Give it a try, it is well worth your time!
