Pick it up on a deeeeep sale. If I could give it a thumbs-sidways, I would; brutally butchers the atmosphere and innovation of the original RE3: Nemesis in favor of cutscenes and The Carlos Show, but it's also the first time we got to play as Jill since 2012, so beggars can't be choosers.

if you go into it remembering it's a 3DS game at its core, it's honestly a pretty alright time. the ship has genuine vibes and raid mode is pretty fun; biggest issues are the hunter spam and an original plot that bends over backwards to shoehorn chris and jill into a game where all of the important stuff happens to the new characters. pick it up on sale and don't expect a masterpiece and you'll have a good time

the dead last RE game that needed a remake, but i'm glad it exists. REALLY good

rough around the edges, but full of passion, heart, and genuinely inspired art direction. like other reviews say, a chapter selector would really bump this game up, but what's here is worth the price of entry. has the balls to give you hope despite the dismal setting and the depressing narrative.

Just not what this studio does well. Gone are the nuanced and developed characters, the immersive and varied gameplay of the studio's previous offerings. Instead we have triple-A writing cliches, sleepwalking gunplay, and repetition without earned purpose. Just unfortunate all around.

It's hard to recommend. Short, overpriced, mechanically restrictive and clearly low-budget as compared to Dishonored 2 or Prey, both of which came out less than a year before. What was clearly meant to be a transitional experience in the world of Dishonored ended up becoming the final one, what with Arkane going the way of the dodo, and it is a lamentable wet fart to go out on. That said, if you're a diehard fan and it's on sale, pick it up.

Tentative yes. Just enough hype moments and aura (and fan service) to make the lackluster story worth it. Kasuga gets completely overshadowed in his own game, and it's way too long, but the JRPG mechanics feel good and the characters are way too entertaining to skip
