What can I say about Shenmue 1 and 2 that hasn't already been said? For 20 years these have been my favorite games, II in particular, and around every Christmas I boot up Shenmue 1. This year I wanted to try the PC version of the HD remasters, which I already own on PS4, and it's such an excellent port. Here's - hopefully - to twenty more years of Shenmue 1 and 2, two games that have been with me through the best times and the worst times. I will say that 1 hits even more after the passing of one's father. You truly feel and understand Ryo a little more now. Remember to cherish your friends everyone.

A classic if there ever was one. I've oft been told that a classic should get better with age, and Psychonauts certainly has. I have owned it on every platform it has appeared on, with recently snatching it on Steam and it's still as good as when I got it on ps2 the day it was released - after a month delay behind the Xbox version! - and in some ways, it's actually better. Creative level design, with pure wit brimming from every pore, a well written story with a unique cast of characters and sub-plots, and how all of this ties into the human psychosis. An all time favorite till the day I die.
