Despite not being an ugly game for me, the aesthetics of the first two Ys Chronichles are aesthetically superior, in this there are no really beautiful places as in Chronichles.

Regarding the gameplay, well, this must be taken into account that they are not the original Ys but rather remasters with important changes in all aspects. This third installment is a real challenge, it has a difficulty selector but setting it to normal would be the equivalent of very hard difficulty in any other game. If we're already talking about platinum, forget it, I think it's one of the games that I remember that must be harder to achieve (nor do I intend to, firstly because of its difficulty and secondly because I don't like it that much to try either).

The main problem I see with its difficulty is that the level of the character you have and their equipment is too important, this is not a dark souls where you can win in many different ways, underlevel or whatever, here each level makes a difference, everything is designed to face the boss on a specific level and from there you cannot gain almost experience.

Good game but you can live without having played it. 7/10

I could have sworn that I reviewed this game. I'm ashamed of myself. I must have gotten sidetracked.

This game is one of, if not THE finest Ys games ever made. The soundtrack is perfect. The boss difficulty is perfect. The scope and the length is perfect. Nihon Falcom took the undisputed worst game in the Ys series and turned it into the best. This is how you remake a game that was initially bad.

The controls are just right. All of the weird jank from Ys 6 is gone. This is one of the easiest recommendations of my life.
