I started playing Yakuza 0 as I saw that it was the best entry point into the series.

The directors cut version came out no too long after I finished playing through the original.

Genuinely don't get all the hate for the directors cut version. It seems the main complaint is they delisted the old version, but everyone complaining about that still has the original in their library. It's really not a huge step down like so many long time fans are whining about.

If I ever came across this on the steam store I'd probably skip over it on the assumption that it's not for me based on the subject matter and themes. I've also never been huge on RPGs but this game is something else entirely.

My first play-through I couldn't put it down. I wasn't even halfway through the game and I was already thinking about what I was going to spec into on my next. Incredibly fun and bleeds early 2000's PC aesthetic.

It's actually incredible with how far this game has come in terms of updates. Originally the developers would say in blog posts that they weren't sure if Don't Starve ever even would have multiplayer. Now with the latest updates, and not to mention the numerous updates before it that have expanded ALL of the various aspects of the game, the game can be enjoyed from many different angles of play.
Do you want to play as a Wendy that sits near base and farms butterflies while chilling 24/7, occasionally killing hordes of enemies with ease? Maybe you're the type to pick Wolfgang, immediately rush the ruins, kill ancient guardian and then come out, kill bee queen, and dragonfly all before winter even starts? The different characters suite all style of play with the various aspect of things to do/accomplish. The large amount of things you can do and achieve is great, you can easily play for hundreds of days once you get the basics. Not to mention the synergies that certain characters have/have had with each other, and the new skill trees make choosing new characters fun and refreshing. Steady and consistent updates keep the game refreshing and always gives a reason to pick it up again for a bit.

Good game, but why did you make the enemies without weapons MORE threatening

My first playthrough I didn't know this game had a parry button. I struggled immensely all the way to Armstrong's fight.
My SECOND playthrough really made me FEEL like Metal Gear

It doesn't hold your hand, read the wiki if you will...

Love the game but play it with mods. Theres all sorts of graphic and game mods online you can get to make the game prettier and better
