Signalis is a game that has taken over as my favorite game, ever.

The horror survival genre is one that was built upon games that people nowadays will call "classics". Kings of a genre like Silent Hill and Resident Evil are hard to come by, a game that will be known as PINNACLES of it for years and years to come. This isn't a game that will stand as a pinnacle of their genre, but one that has gone through and written itself a true letter of love and passion for what laid the groundwork of what makes it such an enjoyable type of game. Details upon minor details fill this game to the brim with little kisses on the cheek of style or mechanical references to these giants, and it does so with respect. Not only that, but those with keen eyes and are fans of anime like Evangelion or Ghost in the Shell will catch even notes of those and others similar; creating a theme that feels almost familiar and yet completely alien as you desperately clutch at straws to try and realize what is happening to you.

They have built their own unique experience and story that will suck you in and chew you the ♥♥♥♥ up. A hero's story, ruthlessly drowned with eldritch machinations that will make you reconsider everything that has happened to you through the game, and it will ruin you. It's cute and soft at times, teasing you with something lovely to break away from the despair of your journey. But of course nothing good can last, you made a promise. And you will do ANYTHING to see it through...

tldr, classic elements of survival horror and horror anime meshed into a modern idea made with love

(p.s. play the game, support the devs, they put so much love into this game and it's well deserving.)

>Stack 20 goat hooves
>move so fast you launch off the smallest rock
>Reach the outer atmosphere
>fall to the ground and die instantly

That's how you end a 3 hour run. This game consumes you.

I just recently bought this game and I am absolutely in love with it, however I have some issues with the game.
So to start off with the bad, the game doesnt really give you a sense of direction for where to go next. Granted, you do have quests to follow but they don't tell you how to get things done. I would never have found out how to make steel (Using an alloy furnace to combine iron bars with oil: which you have to find somewhere on a desert planet) to make a spoon with a metal workstation so I can finish a quest. Other than that somewhat large thing, the game is really great. The different races have some really cool lore to them and the world really is open. You can travel to different star systems and galaxies in your ship (which you can expand and personalize and find all kinds of interesting characters to trade with or help. So yeah, this game is a definite 11/10 I will be playing this game for a lot longer and I'm looking forward to any previous updates.
