Gameplay wise... it's Bloons -- see any other review. My main concerns are how the game is monitized. I paid for this game and it feels like a mobile game. Constant microtransactions are shoved in my face for currency, 'monkey exp,' and paid DLC. It feels like half the buttons on my screen are going to pull up the Steam checkout page.

Early Access Review
As an on/off and returning player, Dark and Darker is suprisingly in a good spot right now. After a previously controversial developer, SDF, has decided to work on a new project, the game is left to the hands of others who have been making strong changes: Gear is rewarding while leaving room for skill expression, block and parry rework is fun, and the development of new perks and skills for different classes each (and allegedly mid-) season have been great. Looking forward to the future of Dark and Darker.

The game is beautiful and levels are interesting, but for how fun the levels can be going up to a boss, the bosses only seem boring and exceptionally tedious.

Unoptimzed, constant crashes, no qa, etc. Can't even say it functions.

By far the worst fighting game I have touched. Its design is fundamentally flawed, and its issues are amplified by the affects of poor balancing. You will probably uninstall from the inexpliciably horrible network before anything else, though. At the very least, the game is beautiful and is accompanied by a great soundtrack, if that means anything.

While I find the atmosphere and vibe of Hollow Knight is still unmatched, Silksong improves upon the title in many other ways.

A brilliant game still going strong, mostly. At mid to high ranks, the game is popping with the competitive and tournament scene thriving. At low ranks, especially for new players, the game is challenging and even just finding a match can be difficult. Join the official discord for the best experience.
