I have played this game for over 2000 hours now, so I might as well review it. There more negatives than positives, but you might as well try this game.

GOOD:
-No game is the same, which leads to many hours of new things.
-Heroes are different, and most of them are actually fun to play.
-Small playerbase, which has led to me meeting some cool people.

BAD:
-Small playerbase, which means you might have to wait a few minutes to find a game (only affects experienced players really).
-1 developer, which means there are pretty much no updates.
-Some heroes are unbalanced (such as SS and Vander), but it doesn't seem like they will be nerfed anytime soon.
-Long queue times for most players.
-High level play is boring as it consists of waiting until blockbuster (a boost) to end the game.
-Game is filled with braindead, 10 year olds, so don't expect anything from your teammates.

A simple, little game that can be completed quickly but is quite enjoyable.

GOOD:
-It's cheap, especially on sale so it is worth its price.
-The game is an interesting idea, showing the way DLC works.

BAD:
-Very short, so don't buy it expecting hours of gameplay.
-Gameplay is very simple and the story very generic, it has been done many times before (and better).

Civilization V is a very good 4X strategy game made by Firaxis. In this game, you have a build an empire to stand the test of time. Civilization 5 is a very fun game to play, especially if you love strategy games. If you do want to buy the game, I recommend buy the Complete Edition when it is on sale.

GOOD:
-The game has very nice graphics.
-The game has 1000s of mods you can download. These mods vary from civilizatoins to enourmous scenarios.
-Civ 5 is much easier to play for a casual player than any of the other Civilization games. This makes it easy for anyone new to the series to understand what is happening and to enjoy the game.
-The game has many scenarios that you can play. These scenarios can be fun, but they're not for everyone.

BAD:
-Playing mulitplayer with strangers is useless. This is because people quit half way through a game. However, they're Steam groups that play multiplayer games with no quitting.
-Games of Civ are usually long (6 hours +) even on the quick speed.
-The base game is alright. However, to get the full experience, you need to buy the 'Gods and Kings' and 'Brave New World' DLCs.
