Gordon Freeman finished his PhD in theoretical physics and just started his first day of work at the Black Mesa Research Facility. Unfortunately he is late for work but that is not the worst thing that happened that day. In his first assignment in the particle accelerator a portal to the Border World Xen is created and havoc is wreaking in the Research Facility. Gordon Freeman has to use his entire wits and grit to survive this endeavour.

When the Power Armor in Freeman's garage is confiscated, he is forced to improvise his own way to survive in the Black Mesa Research Facility.
A laser operated tripwire is a bad thing to leave lying around in a research facility.
Also, then Freeman jumps to the Surface World and then then goes back to the top again (only on the surface world), and you suddenly find that you are fighting a dog-like alien creature on his first day of work.
Not everyone is safe in the Parallel World, Antlions, the Megatonbusters, fire demons and the Netherworld are all out to do Gordon's job for him. So much of the Research Facility is destroyed in the chaos and the portals make it hard to find your way back to the surface.
Can he take on the Border World Xen by himself? Will he be the only survivor? After the fateful night in the Black Mesa Research Facility, Gordon Freeman needs someone, anyone, to play a part in his triumph.
