I have enjoyed my time with the game so far! Lots of references to Junji Itos works. Preforms pretty good. The game is a short escape room like affair. A homie got it for me cause I'm a huge fan of the mans manga's. So if you have 12$ to spare its not a bad short game for the price. But if you want something longer try something like WORLD OF HORROR, but that one has a pretty steep learning curve.

I can't play this game. Title bar is broken and is white and flickers,and when full screened the flickering gets so bad almost seizure inducing on the side bars. When googling and looking through forums for someone with a similar issue to find a work around i wasn't able to find anybody. Which blows cause this looks like a good little rpg. If i can find a workaround or fix will change review.

I love this game been playing it for years, but despite this it has a lot of issues that i can't recommend it to new players.

1. The tutorial only teaches you the bare basics. It does not teach you the wide range of status effects or what they do. Nor does it put you up against a variety of killers. You will always be put up against trapper and you don't see him that often anymore cause of current meta.

2. The net code is a decade old and its starting to show as when high volumes of players are on the game will chug. On top of this lobby issues that require a full game restart.

3. Lying about some bug fixes in the patch notes. Playing Spirit i felt this one personal, and to some credit BHVR did get it fixed eventually,but Jesus it took em awhile ,and reading those updates thinking it was fixed only to find out it wasn't kind of sucked during that time.

4. You have a wonderful lgbtq community. It's nice. However using them as a shield to hide behind when people criticize the lazy direction this game has been going in for the last 3 years is kind of gross and disrespectful to that community. While on the subject of communities the number of bad PR moves BHVR has had in the last few years is staggering. Failed autobans which swept up some innocent players with cheaters. Selling items in regions that they should not have been available in which caused some folks to lose auric cells. That's just naming a few.

In the end i feel like I'm watching a game i love decay from the inside out. Hopefully it gets better soon, but i'm not holding out much hope.

Its super fun. The retro beat em rpg feel is charming,and the customization is fun and sometimes hilarious.

The game is not what i expected. I tried to enjoy it i really did, but there is some hit box issues. Among other issues like audio completely cutting out and eating lives when i re-spawn especially near the end of the game. Also the game barley gives you any content for 30$. It preys on you having nostalgia, and then under delivers.

I was looking for a good ol boom shoot saw this,and thought why not. I was pleasantly surprised with how cheesy and fun this is. Sadly my only gripe is it's very short,but for the price that was ok. If you want something with a cheesy b movie plot and smooth gun play this is for ya.

Love this game,but in its current state feels a bit rough.

Edit: Somehow the updates made it worse. Queues that waste time and don't let you in. Rewards still being lost, and not granted after so many re logs. Also a few occurrence on defense/escort missions where the A.I civis pathing breaks and they just stand there creating a no win scenario.

Edit 2: Servers have improved just waiting for some minor tweaks. It is in a playble state. Just waiting on armor fixes now

This should be the standard for games.

A refreshing take on horror games. I loved every hour i have spent in the game. You can feel the love and passion put in this title. Controls really well. Visually stunning retro style,and spooky as hell.

P.S Gary loves you.

I bought this game with in the first few mins my ♥♥♥♥ became erect with the blood of demons i was slaying. It's everything i wanted in a shooter high octane fun.
