Overrated Game. Didn't live up to expectation and praises I kept seeing of it online. I am someone who reads and follows the story even sidequests than skim through it.

Pros:
1) Interesting Crafting system
2) Good mult-Class system

Cons:
1) Main Questline isn't all voice acted. Two quests will have voice in it then third wont, suddenly 4th will have voice in it.
2) Cutscenes are not cinematic. Has awkward pause after every action or dialouge eg: NPC 1 speaks -pause- NPC 2 reacts -pause- NPC 3 says he's going out -pause- NPC 3 walks out -pause- NPC 1 reacts etc...
3) No companion. Eg: an fellow company mate will say lets go there and investigate- and follows it up with "meet you there"- you TP there and he is already present - you talk to him and he will be like "I've found a lead he is standing across the street" and follows it with "meet you there". It's F annoying. If only I could use them as an companion (battle pet) then story would feel more smooth.
4) Badly managed Sub- Punishes for ever subscribing as there is no preffered mode. If I don't sub again it won't even let me log in. Cant store my excess gold over 300,000 as free trial member in an escore like system where I will be able to use it later when I subscribe. I'm okay with unable to trade on marketboard but at least let me view stuff on it.
5) Dead Playerbase: The population is divided in soo many servers/worlds that result in insane long dungeon queue time. And good luck finding a dg not in duty pool, I waited 4 days in queue for Odins dg still no luck.
6) Forced Duty Finder: The MSQ builds up story to a boss fight and the boss fight turns out to be an Trial in duty finder which is never challenging coz the other 7 overpowered players will end it in 2 minutes.
7) No Aggro: You can walk through your lvl mobs without them attacking you, they just stand there like placeholder statues.
8) Bad Map design: The ARR maps felt small but were designed well. In expansion they just introduce different bioms of wasteland. Even city like Ishgard are void of NPC's, new map idea is frozen icy wasteland, another new map is this long forgotten sky city where no one lives now, another map is this land of sharlean academy which has been abandoned, another map idea is this cloud island where thy're just starting to settle hence void of anything & lets just copy the sky island thing but this one has dragons in it. I can go on

I swear if this game didn't have 'Final Fantasy' in it's name it would be mid and forgotten. Only thing keeping it going is the nostalgic sound track and such
