This game does everything well and it's probably the closest soulslike / bloodborne experience you can get that is made not by fromsoftware

It has good story, good gameplay mechanics, good variety of weapons, good boss fights, good side quests, and good learning curve as well. One thing I'd say is a bit lacking is exploration, where the whole map feels quite linear and although it rewards you when you do a full exploration, I just think the level design feels more like a straight line with some branches here and there and usually ends up with an accessible shortcuts. And some of the assets is used quite repeatedly, notably some of the museum interiors, but it didn't really bother me too much actually. The linearity actually helps me not getting too mazed and lost in a certain area and makes the story progresses faster with no "I'm here to slow you down purposefully" elements.

Combat feels quite rigid, enemies are generally easy to beat in the early games but later on it's pretty much mini bosses everywhere espescially in the late game. Every swing has nice weight and you can do variety of weapon combos as well. Parrying feels very rewarding, it's notably harder than sekiro for instance. The parry window is abysmal, but it rewards you with a stagger thus enabling you to do fatal attacks and it's very useful in boss fights. Coming from a sekiro graduate it's probably like when you're not using kuro's charm.

The bosses is surprisingly not that hard to beat, i can get away with dodging and spamming attacks just fine for like half the main bosses. Specters also made the job easier, though actually doing it solo just makes the fight longer, not necessarily harder in most cases, maybe there's one or two instance when i really needed the help, but most of the time It didn't took me more than 3 tries to beat the bosses. The harder ones usually took me about 5 tries. The mini bosses though, feels notably harder for some reason. Usually it's placed in the most inconvinient places with some liutenants backing them up. Nevertheless all of them aren't as hard as something in sekiro for instance, where usually I got desperate and ended up looking for some cheese strats to beat every bosses here and there. The final boss though, the nameless puppet is where I got the most fun out of. It turns my whole playstyle into sekiro mode and it forces me to learn the parry rhythm.

Anyway, the whole game is solid, not many complaints from me. Just wishes a bit more variety in the exploration probably. Even something like code vein has more depth in the level design but hey, it's not a major complaint anyway.

It's essentially hades I with couple of quality of life improvement here and there. It's not necessarily "better", more like a variant that is a bit more refined in multiple areas. The new characters are just as interesting as the previous Hades with a good balance of banter and emotional essence that delivers the story well. It is less "comedic" in a sense compared to the more playful Zagreus, Melinoe is sure a more serious little sister oh his. The combat feels more balanced on the surface, I can't really just pick a weapon and spam the X button as much as the previous one, although certain builds can be super OP if leveled up right. The addition of magick adds a bit more depth to the combat and it provides a bit more variation to the playstyle of each infernal arms.

One thing for sure, this is still the same game that didnt take minutes to boot, just seconds and you can jump straight intu erebus and slay some monsters for fun. You'd promise only giving 30 minutes in each play, but ended up doing hours and multiple trials to defeat Chronos. It is essentially what a game supposed to be, fun. Every night feels the same yet different and there's always something new to discover. Once you got comfortable slaying chronos using a certain build, you can just add up the difficulty and the game feels waay different each time the burden adds up.

Lately, I feel like games are either requires extra effort investing to the story, or sometimes mechanically too hard to be called game of the year. This one doesn't require much time to get into the story, and although it's not an easy game upfront, you can easily get used to it and ending up wanting more challenge to do in the game. In the end, i love both Hades I and Hades II as it is. The one big reason i might enjoy the first game more is because I haven't tried any Hades game before. I bought this game with an expectation that I'll enjoy it, but since i played the original Hades I kind of expected some things would turn up similar to the prior game and yes it does. Again, it's not a straight up total upgrade, but more like what a sequel should be like, a touch better many areas with additional extras to the story.

This game probably won't win GOTY, but one thing for sure it sucks the crap out of me way more than expedition 33 or KCD II could. Not that those two are worse games, but Hades II gives instant enjoyment and I can easily continue the progression of the game few hours after failing some attempt to kill Chronos . Anyways, kudos to Supergiant Games for desigining and making Hades II the way it is.

Edit : I progressed to the game further and after completing all the achievements, i backtracked into hades 1 just to remind me what's what and oh boy hades 2 actually is a few steps better. The quality of life improvements actually makes the game feel more refined, starting from the menu navigation, weapon and skill balancing and etc. Hades 2 is actually a better game overall

This is the wet dream of mecha genre maniac, gundam games are not even close to match this level of masterpiece

You don't have personality, you're just a hound, an independent mercenary. Your reason for living is just to fulfill your handler's desires. You start as nobody, landing on another planet stealing identity, and you build reputation from the ground up for a goal you never know until the very end. You'll meet some factions, sometimes you side with one of them, sometimes you cross path. You don't know what they look like, but every character in this game has a deep presence unlike an average npc. Every dialogue images a detailed representation on the story, and the npc's character building. There's a lot to talk and appreciate from this game. The amount of the mech's customization is wealthy, the combat mechanics, boss fights are just what to expect from fromsoftware, there's minimum cutscenes but the visuals are stunning already with every moving scene is rendered perfectly you wouldn't need one anyway. But in the end it's just about :

It's just a job 621, get it done.

Haven't played a game that sunk me deep as AC6. It might not be for everyone to like, but I'd give this a 11/10 from personal enjoyment. It's linear, very straight to the point, as if you're an independent mercenary acting as your handler's most faithfoul hound.

♥♥♥♥ elden ring, this is from's masterpiece

In a nutshell, this is practically dark souls but anime with mid ahh story and characters. So far, it's pretty fun to play

After completing the game, my perception towards this game changed a bit. It is not a perfect game by any means, it is not for a widespread of audience, it is flawed, but i grew to love this game. basically, apart from it gameplay and combat mechanics, everything is objectively mid. Not that the gameplay and combat is exceptional, but for a bandai game, it is pretty well made and it is easy to enjoy. You can change your playstyle on the fly, there's lots of in game character cosmetic customization, wide variety of weapons that are actually useful (not just some repeated piece of junk you usually found in something like ac origins/ odyssey). The learning curve isn't that steep, and i think most people would find it rather easy, at least before starting new game plus. It's a perfect entry for weeb degenerate who want to experience souls like, it is a good stepping stone, or like a "tutorial game" lmao. Nevertheless, espescially when it's on discount it is worth buying, and worth spending time on. I'd rate this a solid 7/10 objectively, and an 8/10 for personal enjoyment

Expectation wasn't high, there are a lot of negative stigma to this game on internet comment sections and so forth. But honestly, the game is not that bad at all. The story is quite decent, not too heavy but definitely better than origins despite not having most of Assassin's Creed core elements except the animus and the Isu artifacts and stuffs (at least until I got this far) . Gameplay is basically origins recycled, I still miss the appearance of a shield that was actually helpful in Origins, and the hidden blade. I mean, the spear of Leonidas is quite cool for a broken spear but nothing can replace the hidden blade. Graphics is outstanding, although it might look like Origins, again. But the quality of the anti- aliasing, lighting, shadows, relfection adn etc is a huge step ahead of Origins. There are a lot of things to mention but I'm going to go for the verdict. Should you buy this game? Yes, for discount price though. The game is absolutely massive, each places has it's own unique story despite they kinda look the same most of the time except some of the statues. It will take a lot of your time, I played approx. 50 hours of gameplay and I'm nowhere near completion even the main story. The grind could bore you at some time but if you take a break for a while it is actually quite decent. And the voice acting of Alexios is extremely underrated. He might not sound as "natural" as Kassandra, but over time somehow you kinda get used to his voice and the voice acting is just getting better especially in times when he screams or rages. Although it is kinda shame because you don't get to see Alexios as Deimos if you pick him in the first place. Damn I didn't realize it is this far already . Overall I'd rate this 7.8 It's neither bad nor outstanding. It is fair to say this game is not AC anymore, either way I still enjoy this game million times better than Unity (why did I go for that game to compare smh). And it is better than origins IMO.

did you read till all the way down here? God, do something more useful than reading this stupid ass review of mine........no..... I'm joking ofc, thanks for reading (if there is someone who actually read this lmao)

Might not be a perfect game, definitely some wasted potential on some of the supporting characters. Combat might be too simple and "forgiving" but pretty fun and the world kinda feels a bit empty. Nevertheless, still a very good game, story is good, a lil bit ehh in the middle but the opening and ending is pretty good. But the soundtrack, and the sound design. Bro what are you doing, give your whole wallet to square enix. Overall I'd rate this 9/10 (lil bit biased cuz of the AMAZING soundtrack)........God, the soundtrack dude, Shimomura san is pure genius
