Gosh I'd sure love to play this game I thoroughly enjoy, but unfortunately it basically doesn't run these days. If ♥♥♥♥ gets fixed, I'll happily change this back to a thumbs up.

apparently my rockstar account was hacked. It is linked to my steam account. I have no way to recover my passport. There is no real-time support. I am unable to play a game i spent money on.

What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke. I'll probably just pirate the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing now.

It is good. Lots of fun to explore, vaguely entertaining minigames (mostly), rewarding open world, an appearance by the greatest late medieval military commander in history, and the best medieval dress up this side of Bohemia. Bethesda take note. CD Projekt and TaleWorlds, idk do a collab or something. Between the three devs they should be able to make the best medieval fantasy game ever. In theory.

The whining of the chuds only makes it better.

What if Gothic 2 but 2d?

And Celtic-inspired. But I'm mostly here for the Gothic vibes.

Not a ton of time in the game yet but it seems like a straight upgrade to Rebellion. All the factions (with a hint of more to come) and they have greater differentiation than before.

The core gameplay is largely unchanged, but the planet development has been streamlined in a good way, but also made more interesting with planetary buildings, a system that capital ships also use, allowing for fairly deep customization (and apparently some pretty broken combos).

Interactions with minor factions seem rather limited, but there's more going on there than in rebellion. On the other hand, it'd be nice to have something broadly similar to the diplomacy/influence system of rebellion where you can forge alliances with AIs, or at least know what your standing with them looks like.

My only gripe is with the AI 'art'. It's extremely bland and same-y (as it always is) and makes a lot of thumbnails/icons visually indistinct, taking the UI down a notch. I'd rather half as many character portraits with actual character than what we have now. Overall a minor gripe, just sort of odd to see. Apparently they have in-house artists, let them cook.

Pour this down Blackbird's throat and have them re-approach HW3 plz.

Classic in style, but without the completely obtuse interfaces and such of the old gems. Combat has a nice satisfying crunch without being anything weird, and some really well done UI stuff there in particular. Story is solid thus far, and the eldritch horror aspect is quite good. There's some rough edges (would love to have some kind of grimoire or codex that tells you what all the spells are), but nothing that detracts from the experience overall.

It's an epic-scale fantasy wargame. Do you know how rare those are? And this one just so happens to be great. Pushing through a old-style UI is well worth the opportunity cost for a fantastic game, even if just to stunt on AIs in single-player.

Builds in many ways on what Iron Tower did well in Age of Decadence and the combat challenge of Dungeon Rats. Still very much a particular vision (that of the devs) but well worth your time.

Its like Gothic 2 but without the mustache and ponytail and with arguably better early-game balance. Idk about the snapper buff tho.

What if it was Dark Souls but Open World, so it scratched the combat itch, exploration itch, progression itch, and riding-around-on-a-horse-lancing people itch at the SAME TIME.

YMMV if you don't like Soulsborne games in the first place.
