Whats with people f*cking talking to me in the pre-game lobby - especially if you don't have anything nice to say but only b*llshit???? Mind your own business and don't talk to me unless you wanna have a nice chitchat, will you???

༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ☂ :LIS_butterfly:

DbD addict since 2018 here :GHVomit::thetrap: with sadly no legacy skins, but definitely enough hours for people to call me a noob because I still can’t 360° a Killer, panic-drop pallets and occasionally run straight into teammates while trying to help (which… yeah, makes me look like the bad guy sometimes even though that's not my intention! :steamsad:).

I also, yes, still use Selfcare – call it survival instinct :health:. I just like having the option to being fully healed in a game where people are actively trying to murder me. :GhostScared::chainsaw: I also still don’t have the "30 killer blinds"-achievement on Steam, mostly because I keep mistaking items and bringing maps :scum_banana: instead of flashlights. :devourkey:
No joke. I’m just weirdly neat and try to get rid of brown items by losing them ingame until BEhaviour finally listens to my complaints in their surveys about giving us a delete-button for useless stuff – such as brown items. :DSTpoop:

:GhostFlowerHappy: I main Yun-Jin Lee  (so far my only P100) because I’ve been a sucker for the All-Kill DLC since day one. Also love Trickster – mostly when he smiles at me. On a photo.
During a match… well. Let’s just say I’m aware of how he’s usually played by most people. Still feels kinda lore accurate, so I guess I just tolerate it. xD

Before Yun-Jin I mained Meg and Yui, and they’re still my #2 and #3.

I don’t play Killer that often, :sacrificed: but when I do I main Spirit, :witch: Doctor :happyjugg: and Trapper :demoticon: :thetrap: – and a bit of Dredge, :LIS_poker_face: because he manages to be either completely ridiculous and goofy or nightmare fuel.

I also record my matches and don’t hesitate to report griefing, exploits/cheats or harassment. So maybe lets just all try to be mindful ingame and also in endgame chat. :whiteward:
I know there are things that make people blow up. Let's say: If a Killer farms with 2 survivors after terminating the other 2 – yeah, that's definitely feeling unfair, been there – but please don't forget one major important fact: that’s THEIR call! Like it or not, the killer, because outnumbered from start, is supposed to be the more powerful being in this asymmetric constellation and his decisions to spare or not to spare whomever he wants doesn’t make the remaining survivors the villains. Unless people actively team up to grief others. That’s a different story! :winter2019angryyul:

Personally, I'm a Solo-Q survivor because most of my friends stopped playing, yet I try to be fair, helpful and sportsmanlike without forgetting that I’m still also playing to win – most of the times, at least. Sometimes that includes selfish decisions – like it does for everyone else! But whenever I can I try to avoid the ego gameplay (so if for example I run away from you while being injured and selfcare myself in a corner you can be sure that either the killer is close-by, or you messed up skillchecks before and I'm scared you will so again or I actually wanna selfheal for a quest/challenge!)

Ultimately it's that I enjoy playing with (and against!) like-minded people the most. So let's be like-minded as much as possible while playing THE SAME GAME, guys. <3

A little something to my dbd fellas
I want to make one thing very clear,

to EVERYONE

who came this far to take a closer look at my profile and jump to conclusions and judgements about the things and texts and numbers that one will find here (they are here because this is MY profile and I like to express myself on it!) OR the way I acted in a match that we probably had together and that may have aroused your displeasure:

I usually stalk my mates and killers profile at the end of a match, not the beginning. That is because I don't wish for your profiles to creep into my reason and might let me jump to devaluations about you without ever playing or talking to you - and I am not free from this at all, I do judge, too. Even when trying not to. There was a time when I wouldn't mind showing off my game statistics yet too many of the not so friendly and less reasonable people obviously felt offended by it. I've had people trying to bully me for my profile or my play time, I've had people trying to bully me for not bringing an offering of their liking (aka birthday cake) or for my perk choice (mostly it is Selfcare that they hate on xD), I had people trying to bully me for liking Yun-Jin Lee and calling her ugly and I had people trying to bully me for even less.

To refer to it:

You can do whichever but if you wanna discuss with me about something that your sanity took a toll on, you technically CAN do so in a normal tone, I am not a person who immediately becomes unfriendly and insulting unless you give me the same tone and vibe from the scratch. Given my playtime of over 6.8k and the many years I've been playing DbD with a clean slate, it's certainly not in my interest to start any wars. Before this happens I rather leave the endgame lobby and put you on my block list. But that doesn't mean that I'll just let every unfounded accusation sit on me. As long as I think it'll make sense, I'll always justify myself when being wronged or stepped on. And in case that you are right with your accusation, I will admit to it. Because what reason is there to deny the obvious? Yet when I give you a point of my view you could and should be enough of a grown up to not decide what may or may not goes on in MY mind. If I'm telling you the sky is pink where I live and you have no way to get proof wether that is true or not, then you don't have as many options, but as to believe me or to call me a liar. If you decide for the latter so be it, but then please do so without bothering me about it.

I'm not infallible and I've played enough matches of DbD in which I've been everything but a perfect model teammate. I've been lame, I trolled, boycotted or afk'ed - for all sorts of reasons. There were times when I started the match search and went to shower because I completely forgot that I was in the lobby queue. Or my doorbell rang in the middle of it. I also ragequitted, refused to play and cried. I missed skillchecks, messed up pallet saves or bodyblocked by mistake. There are thousands of reasons why I or any of us could mess up a match.
Things can't always go perfectly smooth, you can't always stay sane and you can't always win. But if we always immediately label other people on the internet as the most horrible whatsoevers, then that says alot more about ourselves than about them.

That being said:
we can discuss in the endgame chat if you want to. But lets stay human. :scum_banana::dp4outline:
To Cleanse or not to Cleanse against Plague in DbD
To Cleanse or not to cleanse Against Plague
(Edited)

:thetrap: :GHVomit: :thetrap:

I've seen a trend in both players in game and commenters on the forums/reddit/twitter/twitch and so on, saying that the best way to counter plague is to not cleanse AT ALL. Frankly, this is an absolutely terrible advice and it's not going to work unless you're a 4-man SWF who can gen-rush really easily, then maybe you are not gonna get destroyed. Maybe.
Tho, every team that I've played as plague against - or as a team against her - that used this strategy of "never cleansing" got completely crushed.
Maybe or maybe not I was just "unlucky" with my teams or maps or whatever sometimes, but I doubt that winning or losing a match against Plague was only always because of unfortunate circumstances like a "sh*tty Matchmaking", therefore: no excuses.

So,

The arguments that I see in favor of not cleansing usually go as follows:
:whiteward: :GHVomit: :whiteward:
• She doesn't get to use corrupt purge. This is true, most likely you get to keep her from using her biggest advantage. At the cost of being 1-hit and very easy to track, however. You are essentially trading one advantage for another.
• Just loop her and you'll be fine. Plague without her power is just an M1 killer, that means you can just loop her easy peasy right? Maybe, but even then only being able to take one hit significantly reduces the amount of time you can loop her. Making chases shorter overall. Aside from the fact, that most of the dbd players are bad to very bad loopers.(Including myself)
• If you can gen-rush her fast enough you'll probably be just fine. This one has some truth to it. If you're a coordinated team then you could potentially pull this off by off-setting the quick chases by hammering through gens. Without coordination though you aren't going to accomplish much and it could easily backfire on you. (Try to coordinate your Solo Queue to just half of what is needed to archieve this gen-rush goal, good luck with that)

If you decide not to cleanse then you are:
:sacrificed: :theskull: :sacrificed:
1. A 1 hit down, so leaving yourself (and your teammates) vulnerable for the rest of the game
2. Going to be infecting everything you touch . This screw over teammates that aren't following this strategy and gives a clear indication of where you've been (good luck hiding in a locker or sneakily vaulting a window).
3. Very easy to track. In addition to the points I mentioned above, it's damn near impossible to miss someone who is injured AND vomiting. Iron Will at 75% reduced grunts of pain or no mither, Off the record and other perks that eventually affect your voices will not affect the vomiting noises you will be making (same with coughing when infected by Nemesis' T-Virus).
4. If she brings either of her apple (adding cursed fountains) or iridescent (Aura reading when throwing up) add-ons then you are setting yourself up to be snowballed into the ground. For those who don't know the apple add-ons allow the Plague to start the match with one pool already corrupted. If the killer sees that everyone is broken and NOT cleansing then she can use her one pool to effectively instadown and slug the whole team at range. Even a SWF can have trouble with that.
Does that mean that you should blindly cleanse at every chance against her? No. You need to have discretion with when you cleanse instead of never cleansing in the first place. You don't always need to cleanse immediately after getting sick the first time.
It's better to use discretion about WHEN to cleanse instead of NEVER cleansing at all. Not cleansing is a bad strategy and will get your team killed. Coordinated SWFs are the only ones who could potentially pull it off.
But to be honest: how often are you playing in a REALLY coordinated SWF? (Like right now, if you read this by any means you were eventually paired up with me in a dbd-lobby, checking out my profile, skim over this text and since I am a SoloQ-Player that means you can potentially be a Sole Surviver up to a 3-man-SWF at maximum, otherwise I would not possibly be "your random". I guarantee, it only needs a lowkey-skilled Plague to raid us ;))

:sacrificed: :theskull: :theskull:

As for my personal opinion I consider playing against Plague with cleansing AND not cleansing in a healthy mix. That means using your brain and think of when it's good and needed to cleanse, and when it isn't!
Don't cleanse nearby a hook or gen that people work on.
Do Cleanse before you wanna join a teammate on a not infected gen.
If you go for an unhook of an ill teammate, don't cleanse. Your teammate will get you infected only just once again, so cleansing before the unhook doesn't make sense. I see people do it alot but please don't. Same goes other way around. If you wanna unhook but you are infected, the hooked player isn't, cleanse if you can or let someone else unhook if you see that they go for it. Don't potentially throw a match just for a few unhooking Bloodpoints. You will infect the player that you unhook and it will cost you time to cleanse AND give the killer two possible brandnew Blood Fountains.
Also don't cleanse if you have to interact with objects such as gens, lockers, windows, pallets, totems or gates that the Killer puked on and thus infected. They will re-infect you immediatly so cleansing only gives the killer another Blood Purge Fountain PLUS an exact idea of where you actually are or have been within the last seconds.

But as for my final advice: How about you try it out yourself instead of only listening to others and tell them what they want to hear?

Of course, we all know that the public opinion is "never cleanse".
But
public opinion isn't always the best advice just because 99 out of 100 people follow it. It only means that 99 out of 100 people are too lazy to use their brains to figure things out themselves. In fact the "never cleanse at all"-strategy is fatal and bad on so many levels.
And so is "Cleansing at every possible Chance". That's bad, too. If you still don't get why, re-read my text.

Please don't play Dead by Daylight blindfolded, people. Use that sexy brain of yours <3

Thanks!

Me, the "cry baby" here, was defending the killer-premate from that "person" below me, who bullied them in the endgame chat for not playing to their liking.

If that is your definition of being a crybaby I gladly be one. :whiteward::steamthumbsup:
