I haven't dumped a whole lot of hours into this but I've enjoyed the few I've put in thus far. I really enjoy the district system but it needs some TLC to be less confusing in how it works. I dislike the towns system but I can see that growing on me at some point. Not a terrible addition just feels bad sometimes.

I HATE THE CRISIS GARBAGE. It's too damn jarring and annoying and you are given no way to turn it off.

However, it usually only occurs toward the end of an age and I feel they put that in to encourage the player to advance the game to the next age. Could have been done better.

Overall, yields and understanding them is much worse than Civ 6. It's not nearly as clear and it makes it difficult to decide the best choice for districts.

Combat is fun and I like the new commander mechanic.

Each age feels almost like its own game. I am 50/50 on the age system but I can see it growing on me.

Now, all of that I would still recommend this game. I CANNOT however recommend it right now because the game on PC is somehow pushing my GPU beyond spec and offers no option whatsoever to limit frames.

For reference my system is decent:
-12900K (OC to 5.00 GHz on Perf Cores)
-RTX 3080 Ti (undervolted so it should not go above 300 Watts) BUT SOMEHOW this game is pulling over 400 WATTS! And what's worse it is only showing 86% usage on the GPU.

I have no idea how they managed this but my GPU is sitting way to close to 90 C while playing this game. This is in DX12 and I haven't tried it in Vulkan, but I may.

TL;DR: Game needs a lot of polish still but has some bright spots. However, it wants to blow up my PC.

Ghandi isn't in the game (wtf!?) but he is dropping nukes inside my PC case.

Excellent entry so far in the series. Doesn't run the best but most of the performance oddities occur outside of actual hunts.

I didn't know games could be released properly optimized in 2025 but here I am.

This game looks amazing and plays incredibly well even on relatively older hardware.

This game is EXCELLENT.

It's the first open world RPG I've played where I want to actually travel by foot. There is so much to see and the combat is super fun. I understand many people are having some performance issues or can't even play. I have had almost no issues on that front. (12900K, 3080 Ti)

Excellent addition to the hunter genre. The biggest unspoken upside will be competition in the genre as well as the fact the game has full crossplay with Xbox and PS5. This is something Capcom has yet to do with MH and this will hopefully kick them in the rear. I highly recommend this game if you enjoy MH or even just like a good action RPG.

Jesus Christ be Praised!

Excellent modern RPG with an attention to detail all others are lacking. The combat is challenging but unique and really makes an attempt at accurate swordplay. Definitely worth the time to give this one a shot.

Best survival game I have ever played and it's only early access. It keeps all the fun aspects from the survival genre while removing all the tedious, boring, and frustrating aspects the genre is notorious for. The lack of PVP is bittersweet. There is no real challenge due to that but it makes it a very fun and addictive experience nonetheless. The world is enormous and full of such potential. I am really excited for what will be coming to the game.
