I've gotta say. In my few hours of gameplay, I have never felt this capitivated by a competitive game. Ever. This includes CS:GO, Overwatch, TF2, whatever it may be, this game tops them.
The enjoyment I get from playing with friends and screaming if myself or one of them misses a goal is immeasureable, and looking at my hours on steam, there are very few games that have over 100 hours, but I can easily see this one crossing the 1k mark if I really let myself. Amazing game Phyonix, and cheers for the many hours of fun to come!

[Edit] Aight. So I now have 309 hours and I just got to Diamond 1 in 2's. I love the game. After a few hiatuses and breaks I have come back with a vengeance to get to Champion before the start of my college year (Aug.) I will update if I reach it or not.

[Edit 2] So I have been in champ for a nearly a month and a half and I can say I comfortable hit it 2 weeks prior to going to college. So I hit my goal!

[Edit 3] This game has been very influential in my life and I now play for my university on scholarship. RL has opened many doors in my life and I am very thankful. 1700MMR sucks btw.

[Final Edit] It's now 2026, 8 years after posting this review, and I've officially regressed to the point where I'll probably never hit 1600 again without dedicated practice, but in a way, it's more fun now. I owe a lot to this game, and I'm thankful that it helped me pay for college, as well as give me life-long friends. Hopefully UE5 comes out, but even if it doesn't, RL is a special, special game.
