Dragonkin: The Banished is a really good pick for ARPG fans, especially if you prefer something a bit more casual and easy to get into. The visuals are one of its strongest parts, with great-looking environments and a strong art direction throughout the game. The music is also very solid, while the story is fine but nothing too special. Combat and animations can feel a little clunky at times, so it does not always feel as smooth as the best games in the genre.

What makes it stand out most is its progression. The skill board is a great idea, mixing character building with a light puzzle element in a way that feels both fun and approachable. There are also some nice ideas for endgame progression, which give the game extra replay value. I also like that it is smaller in scope and not built like a live service game - it feels like a complete game you can just play and finish. At the same time, it is a little sad, because the game shows a lot of potential and it would be a shame if that potential never gets expanded through future DLCs or updates.

Hidden gem of 2025 - novel mix of genres, interesting story and dillemas, a lot of choices but has that 11 bit studios "kick in your nuts" every now and than.

Came in expecting a short AA game based on a forgotten franchise.
What I got surprised me.

It’s linear, but side missions add real choices.
Some dialogues are not obvious and let you roleplay a bit.

The worldbuilding feels like the movie world I remember.
Characters aren’t super deep, but they matter.

Gunplay feels good.
You can pick your style thanks to two upgrade/customization systems.
A bit of jank is there, but it fits when you pilot a heavy war machine.

Story is mostly obvious, but has some nuance.
I like that it’s not all black-and-white.

Graphics are AA, as expected.
But you can tell they pushed it as far as they could.

Solid 8/10

Combination on brilliant ideas resulting into amazing pvpve experiance. I never digged games like that, but this one captured me. In adition the schedule of new content is giving you a lot of reasons for one... more.... run....

Hellclock nails that perfect blend of PoE-style depth and roguelite chaos, and it’s an absolute blast to play. Every run feels fresh, the visuals are gorgeous, and there’s always some new build or combo to mess around with. It’s got that “just one more run” pull that can eat entire evenings without you noticing. Honestly, dangerously addictive in the best way.

This game is an evolution over SM1 in every way.

It looks stunning, and the controls have significantly improved—though they still feel somewhat clunky at times. However, since you're controlling a heavily armored character, this clunkiness actually feels authentic and fitting.

I'm not a huge fan of how prominent the reactive prompts are (blue circle - press 'C', red circle - press 'Space'), as they quickly become repetitive and dull, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the gameplay.

The world-building is exceptional, especially appealing to any Warhammer 40K fan. The story itself is decent, nothing groundbreaking—but let's be honest, that's not the primary reason we play this game, right?

Amazing iteration on the genre adding actual story and decisions along side deck construction - feels like along side the set of cards you assemble the world for your story. Lots of innovative mechanics. Can't recommend more :)

An amazing meta-game that mixes puzzles with sts-like card game - every moment is hand crafted, a great experience.
