I got this cheap, and I'm glad it was. The game is OK, the racing is quite fun, but the police are just insane - it sucks all the fun out of it. I don't mind a good chase, but I've found it basically impossible to escape a heat 3 chase.
Also one of the characters is terrible. Without giving too much away, this person wrecks someone's car, then makes them out the be the bad guy.

This is one of the very few games I've managed to get my gf to play, but it's the ONLY one where SHE has asked ME if I want to play.

She struggled a lot at first, she's never played anything other than platformers and a little bit of VR (reluctantly), but she started to get the hang of it. There were definitely moments where I had to be very patient, but I was pleased for her when she felt she'd accomplished something.

To the devs; you did a great job with this game. I thought the gameplay was great, it was very creative. My other half said many times how cool various parts of the game were. I think she may now finally understand why I'd rather play a game than watch TV. I also spent way more time than I should with the grooveboxes, as someone who's spent a lot of time in FL Studio, this was not something I could just rush. I'd made a banging loop before I'd let us move on :-D

Anyway, we've just completed it and now she's asking to play A Way Out. Hopefully by the end of that she'll be ready for Split Fiction...

Played it for a few hours in one sitting since buying it. I’d still be playing now if I didn’t get dragged out to go shopping with the other half. Gameplay is fun and challenging in places. Reminds me of FTL but without the crew. Nice to see the many Stellaris assets and references. I’m enjoying the upgrades both run and permanent. This might be my new go to game when I don’t want to play anything too heavy.

I've played a lot of this game, for a year or two now on and off. The latest full release has a lot of nice features and it's a definite gameplay improvement (although there's still much to do).

The problem for me at least right now, is just the number of bugs.. I'll get issues where officers repeatedly report food that's gone off to the point where I'll basically have no food left (the issue is not the food, it's the officer and the only option is to disband him). Sometimes I'll be unable to control a character, the camera will be embedded in the ship or something. Letting an officer man the desk gun usually ends up in random crew deaths for whatever reason. The list kind of goes on.

Usually it's not this bad, and the game is generally enjoyable. The last two nights however have just ruined it for me, it's been a frustrating mess. It's uninstalled, I'll think about trying it again in a few months.

I've only played the first chapter, but wow what a cool concept. The art style and narration are great too! I should have played this a long time ago!

I really thought I'd like this, but I just didn't. The cartoon intro's were quite good, and the art style was really nice, but the game is just boring and the campaign is so short.

There's a map editor, but an hour in and I'm not going to take a chance on that. Refunded.

Maybe if there's more content later I'll reconsider and buy again, but meh.

I'm playing this in VR and I cannot do it justice by explaining in words, or even uploading a video to YouTube just what an amazing experience this game is. If you ask people have they played Tetris, they most likely will say 'yes'. If you ask them did you enjoy it, they'll probably say 'yeah sure, I mean it's alright...'.

For me, this game is an amazing audio and visual experience, with a Tetris game thrown in for good measure. It's also a GOOD Tetris game, with nice mechanics.

This game is firmly in my top 3 for VR experiences.

Well, I hope this game is good because 4.5 hours later and I'm still only 20% of the way downloading updates at a snails pace. Steam better offer a refund if it's no good, I'm not paying for an install screen!

I played this for an hour, but after that I found it really dull. Nice enough graphics and game-play, but it's just not for me.

I think this is a great game, but I have to admit there are some pretty substantial bugs:

I had spent pretty much a whole day playing the game, and was doing well - however, there was this one friendly (but weak) empire that I happened to be friendly with that absolutely ruined my game due to a bug. It would wage war on another faction, and for whatever reason I would be dragged into it. This happened twice, and the faction it warred with had a defensive pact meaning I was being wrecked from both sides of my empire. The 2nd time this happened, I just couldn't cope and abandoned my game - a complete waste of many hours.

Aside from that, the game is great fun and you can lose hours, but I would suggest making regular manual saves because this game is definitely not bug free!

UPDATE: As of 2022 I don't think I'll be playing again. Despite having enjoyed it a couple of years ago, I think it's just far too busy now with all the updates. There's just too much to have to do, so many notifications, too much micro managing. For me at least, it's now just a chore to play.
